Hi Warriors, three weeks back i read Official Google Blog after searching a lot, and hearing all the news about PANDA coming to crush... and i was like holy s**t... what's up suddenly... i even found marketers, affiliates, warriors, forums, cashing on this opportunity, and selling products, as if they were shields to protect from the G-Panda... please I am not trying to offend any one of my respected fellows, but its just a question, please answer the following:
please those hit by this algorithm, answer these questions!... so that other colleagues can learn from these patterns... what not to do... moreover i will be updating questions, based on the demands, so that together we can understand the real effect and formulate a specific plan to form an actual shield not only to protect those who have paid... but for the entire Warrior community. please come forward and help your fellows! Regards A curious WARRIOR |

If you have a look around the forum (and/or use the search function with the word "Panda" as your search-terms, perhaps?) you'll find many comments. The article marketers were divided more or less into two groups on the subject. Together with a big group of other article marketers here, I was a considerable beneficiary of this algorithm update, in SEO terms. Now that many article directories have been knocked off the first few pages of Google's SERP's for so many keywords, it's become much easier for us to rank the articles on our sites, which is obviously a great blessing. ![]() You'll also find some article directory marketers who have been disappointed by the outcome, as they were depending on article directories for traffic and/or backlinks (not the most viable of business models anyway, according to many members here, and not too rewarding for the majority even before the "Panda update", but there it is). You may also find or two almost-lone "dissenting voices" in neither of those two "broad camps" mentioned above. But I think literally one, or two. |

on the other side, i think searching for comments, creates a mixed impression, we may fail to see the brighter side of the things, because i think everything negative tends to stay on our mind for long. like while researching i tend to recall many negative pointers... but... zero positive ones.. All the Best to You! Regards

So I wouldn't exactly be "holding my breath", if I were you ... in fact I wouldn't even be astonished if the Moderators closed the thread ... just saying.

Gaming the new Google algo is a non-issue in my view. I was a beneficiary of this Google algo change, as all of my sites have been suddenly surging in rank. There are no plans for me to change my marketing model at all.

thats a great piece of news you bring to us!... plus two and zero against for the Panda... but what about this Official Google Blog: Finding more high-quality sites in search, they claim they still have not added the data from block-list preferences and are still to carry out major changes in the DB... this means those generating pure affiliate based content might be doomed.... think so? Wish You All the Luck! regards

I don't consider myself a big Internet marketer and I only have 3 websites making me about $150/month, but I can tell you that Panda did not affect me after all. For a few days, that was in February I think, the revenues dropped considerably but not the traffic. Then, it all went back to ok.

| It's not about finding a loophole, it's about generating unique and useful content. That's what this update was all about. For what it's worth, I think what Alexa said is very accurate. From what I've been reading, the people hit hardest by this update are definitely those that scrape other sites for their content. IMO, article directories are no better. They offer up lots of links to the sites of others, but they really don't offer 'content'. If you want 'personal' views only, then one of my sites got hit pretty hard. I'm not exactly sure why yet, but I'm definitely looking into it. Heck, for that matter, who knows for sure if it was the Panda update, or some other reason? All of my other sites are still pretty much the same, though. |
