Either Im On Drugs or Adwords Is Losing Touch!

I have not used Adwords in about 2 years.

Recently In the last couple of months I have run 3 campaigns.

One worked fine, was up and running within minutes, great.

But the other 2 - No impressions, no clicks WTF?

Pfffft! What a crock!

I have even diagnosed the keywords and still NOTHING! ZERO!

I search for the bloody keywords and nothing!

None of them are running, and there are no obvuious errors!

Im literally ripping my hair out!!!

What the hell is going on?

Can anyone shed some light on the adwords problem im facing?

If your getting no impressions at all then drop an email into google and ask what is happening ? it could be any number of things and very hard to tell on the surface.

select the help option in the top right, this will allow you to select from the options available then assign your campaign with the problem.

If I had questions - I had to go to a Google Forum - post the question - wait for about a week and wait for them to give me a crappy answer. Poor service at best!

lol, I've needed some "help" from Google on another issue and all I get is a form email that tells me nothing. I already knew nothing, big G!

Not sure if your taking the pizz with me or not, but for the execise there is no top secret email, go to the top of your adwords account page and select help

Help > then scroll right to the bottom and select
> contact us then select from the top
> Ad Visibility, Approvals, and Performance / then selct
> Can't See My Ad
> How can I find out whether my ads are showing?
once you select choose the email option shown on the right.

if really want some secret passes then try this [ chat ] it is the adwords live chat line, it is only open during normal G hours.

For the other 2 campaigns -

1) What's the status of ads - they are under review,eligible or approved
2) Are these display/content network ads? If yes, then just pray for G gods mercy. With their pathetic service, they sometimes take from few weeks to months to approve the ads.
3) Have you diagnosed individual keywords and see what G is giving reason for not showing ads? You can click on ? mark next to your keywords to see the reasons.

Could be anything Andrei, trying increasing your bid, mouse over the keyword and check the status, quality score?

Certain keywords/ads go under automatic review and can takes days or even longer as they are manual reviews.

What are you trying to advertise?

Google has finally LOST THE F***ING PLOT!!!

I ended up getting in touch with some chick at google adwords.

She tells me my account was disabled because of website violations!!!

When i spat the dummy because i know my site is 100% relevant i asked her to show me, 3 days later she gets back to me quoting 5 websites i have never in my life even heard of and one of which i owned several years ago!

She claims i was displaying too many ads on my website !

I explained that i no longer even own that website and i have not even displayed ads for it in at least 3 years!! But more to the point i never had ads on the site because i was selling an ebook, so literally the website was all written content!!!!!

And even more to the point this is now May 2011 and im trying to run and to a totally 100% relevant website with only one tiny adsense cube in the corner!!!

Google if your listening - I wont hang around for this crap anymore, if i keep having problems ill go to facebook or something like that. Morons!

Facebook isn't even in the same ballpark
as Adwords.

Oh, the hypesters say otherwise I know.

What else are they gonna say?

My advice to you is open a second account
using 100% unique everything - name,
address, credit card, etc.

seems like a whole lot of work just because a bunch of dumbasses at google dont understand logic. I mean what they are doing is probably even illegal.

Look at it like this;

They have my money, but they wont let me advertise.

The reason they wont let me advertise:

Is because of a few historical sites that i once advertised (3-5 years ago), which they claim are misleading.

Those campaigns where disabled years ago, and i have now even deleted those campaigns.

The only option google are giving me is to... 'oh my god i think im gunna faint at how stupid these morons are' ...to um... upgrade my landing pages so that they match the ads...
!!!!

The worst part about it is that i had three different people email me about it and none of them get it, they all keep repeating the same drone b.s. and they keep referring me to t&c's which have absolutely nothing to do with what they are saying.

Its like saying "Here you go, this is the law that says you cant drive a yellow car" and so you read the law, and you read it again, and again and again... 'wtf are these people talking about?'.

Didnt someone say that getting a job at google was hard? yeah its hard because you have to be totally 100% retarded yet you look and sound normal!

No you can not do that buddy, it will not run, I have looked at your posts and from what I can see is you have promoted some affiliate sites and used a direct link to do so ? and that you once owned a site or two that had links to other promotions / offers but you no longer have those domains.

As such you are unable to fix the landing page on the direct link or old sites to comply with googles terms and conditions placing you up shizza creek with no paddles.

You can do a quick search on how some people work around a new account, and try and work with that option or re open a dialog with google and quietly explain that you wish to repair the errors and could they outline the issues so that you can resolve them.

From there it may take a little explaining that you do not have the sites in question, as google does not know the sites you promoted were affiliate sites, as they only see the end or destination URL, so stay calm here and ask to speak with somebody who can help you work past this, and second your going to need to stay calm and explain you no longer have the domains in question to change those as they were removed / let lapse / sold some time ago.

Then given that you have exhausted all means to fix the problem and that you are talking with a real person, you may swing your account back, you just need to keep working away at it and stay calm to resolve the issue.

Do I agree with the way its done at G HQ? thats another story but for now thats what you have.

My response back to google is "what landing pages", there are none. Full stop. The ads have been not only disabled but also deleted so how are they landing pages for non existent ads? Who is landing on them?

I have dug a little deeper into my account and found that i had deleted all the campaigns but that i had neglected to delete the ads and keywords themselves.

Now that i have deleted the "ads" there are technically no more landing pages in my account.

I hope this works, i have asked them to review my account again.

Lets see what happens.

Update for everyone.

The final answer is "NO".

I cant continue to use my adwords account. As per several Google Customer Support Staff Members.

I can not even delete my account and start a new one.

Basically i am never allowed to use adwords again.

My thoughts:

Basically this is a dictatorial style of business that will only serve to weaken google in the future. It has pissed me right off which means not that i will stop using google services, it just means that ill look elsewhere for something else (i have no choice now).

Not only this, but google's customer support are a bunch of drone slaves that do not understand that customer service is not about obiding by every single policy and procedure. Ive worked in customer support for years and managed my own team for a very large company and we would always seek an alternative to satisfy the customer.

The basis of this account suspension may be on the right grounds based on their T&C. But to not allow me the opportunity of undoing my wrongs (which i didnt even know existed) is totally non-human, not logical, and it goes against just about every basic human and business common sense.

The fact:

My account was suspended for landing page violations.

Those violations occured on 3 sites over 3 years ago.

Adwords never informed me of those violations so that i could correct my ads or get rid of the sites. And adwords themselves allowed those ads on their search results.

Adwords never informed me my account was suspended.

Those campaigns and ads have now all been disabled and deleted.

Technically there is 'currently' no problem with my landing pages.

The suspension is based on historical data which now in the PRESENT TIME is incorrect.

Adwords still hold $20 of my money.

Adwords have given me an impossible goal to correct the landing pages which i can not do because i do not own those sites.

Basically adwords has a very very big problem. This basically means that us, as advertisers must take responsibility for the websites that we advertise and should one of them have a problem adwords will never inform you they will simply disable your account and never let you enable it again.

Thats like a police officer catching you speeding once, so they never allow you to drive a car again. No arguments.

Its pathetic. And it insults just about every part of my being, not only my intelligence.

I hope this thread gets some people notified because i tried asking this in googles help forums but google just deleted it and i also noticed every other thread for help with the same question was also disabled or deleted on googles help forum.

If you have the same problem, do even try correcting it because it doesnt work. You will simply never be allowed to hand over your hard earned money to google again, must mean they dont need it... lets see what happens.

Just learn SEO, I'm sure glad I did. I get all the traffic Adwords use to send me but it's completely free!

The only downer is it takes time... Worth it though
