Sites such as digg, delicious etc, don't offer dofollow - so is it not worth submitting to them?

Forgive me I'm completely green when it comes to this aspect of I.M.

Where are the benefits coming from these sites generally...

Any advice greatly appreciated...

You can use it for better indexing of your website: If you see that pages of your site haven't been indexed, you can submit them to social bookmarking sites. Search engines still follows these links but don't drive the link juice.

Submitting to these sites is still worthwhile, as my experiences have shown that nofollow links still contribute to your site's SEO. Another benefit that these social bookmarking sites offer is: traffic.
