Anyone can share their experiences with directory submissions? What is your success rate? How many directories have accepted your site say out of a 100 submissions?

It highly depends on your site, the directory and how clean the submitted information is. Knowing that, our experiences won't help you. What do you intend to do? |

I tend to go to niche directories. I'm assuming they let you in because your site is relevant to their directories.

directory submissions are really not worth the effort anymore now... but if you want you can get a directory submission software that submit your site to around 3k directories.. you don't even need to think/find which directory to submit to.. just google it

Directory is still a part of link building, yes it is not that worthy, but not worthless.

yep that's why getting a software is so much better if you need to do directory submission. Your time will be much better spent on some other stuff.

| Most, but when you submit to 3000 directories.. Then you'll get something eventually. After all, directory submission to me is just there to 'color up' your link profile, they don't really serve as a PUNCH in term of higher rankings. :> Just my 2 cents |

| let me change my previous message to "most quality directories do not accept software submission" when you submit to 1000s of spam directories you can not expect good ranking from them . I just recommend to analyze the softwares directories lists %90 of them full of spam links . When you start to be selective for quality of sites they remove the directory from their list; the quantity is important for them not quality.
