I'd appreciate some clarity from anyone who knows about Facebook marketing. Earlier this week, I posted a link on my fan page. That link generated over 1,000 visitors to my site, even though I only have a few fans so far. I've posted about 30 other links, and none of them have generated more than 5 visitors to my site each. ![]() What happened??? Was it the time of day I posted the link? Did it just so happen that a popular person shared the link? Any clue as to what could account for the difference between that one link and all the others I have posted? Thanks a bunch! |

I think all the factors you mentioned came into play. It all boils down to interest if your blog post, product, or website link interests them they are gonna click on it and check it out. Sometimes it is like Fishing you never know what you are gonna catch just keep throwing your line out and see what happens.

It depends on what you're linking to, number of likes, and certainly the time of day.

Did you add any text apart from the link? FB allows you to add a comment, I recommend a call to action that will catch attention. This will help for sure, it does me anyway.

What are you linking to? Is it a CPA offer, Amazon product or Clickbank type of offer?

Try to figure out what made your link successful when it got 1,000 visits. Try to recreate that in future postings on there. I never have had that kind of luck yet on Facebook, but I will definitely keep trying.

Maybe you can go server side and pull the actual times of day those facebook visitors went to your site. might give you a clue as to where there are located as well as if there was a peak around a certain hour?
