Default high pr forum signatures on non related websites

hi i m new here i would like to know how gud it is to have tons of high pr forum signatures on unrelated forums like webmaster forums etc etc. coz having signatures in similar niche is tuff coz most of the times similar niche forums are ur competitors and dont allow forum siggies....so would like to know ur opinion

also does each and every link of our forum signature is counted for the keyworrd in the siganture ? suppose i m targetting keyword x and have around 400-500 posts for that and have mentioend keyword x as an anchor in siagnture, so all the 500 links are counted or not ?

You can have ten thousand posts with your link in the signature but Google counts it as one link.
One link per ip address.

Steve
what do u mean that they will b counted as one backlink ?
u mean 2000 posts in one forum = 2000 siganture links = only one backlink considered by google ?

Yes,some may show up on backlink checkers but in the end the way Google calculates their results they will give credit for one link per ip,other search engines may do things different but not Google,I actually heard Matt Cutts talking about this on a video I watched a while back so that's why I mentioned it to you.
