I've never been one for article directory submissions but see it highly recommended all over the forum. Is it not better to write custom blog posts or webpages with your articles on your domain so YOUR page ranks for the top seo spots for your keywords? Perhaps it depends where you are in SEO but if you already have an established page with lots of backlinks and you are looking for increase in traffic is it still better to go with article submission instead of posting it on your site? I think i might be missing something in the strategy ![]() I tried search for this topic but didnt really see anything that answered this so... thanks... |

Not sure if i posted this right as no one has responded... but... Say im targeting "chocolate bunny basket"... my site has a high PR rank.. over 4000 back links and I just want more people coming to my site... not too much competition for "chocolate bunny basket"... (i dont know just example from my desk) So i create a custom html page on my site (or blog post)... targeted for the keyword... In a few days/weeks i likely will rank in the top spots on google with my domain, and this targeted article... and have those coming directly to my site instead of coming from the article directory. Is it more for building up authority.. ie getting a high Page rank and making google realize your not a flight by night site that you submit to directories.. or am i still missing something? |

![]() This is absolutely fundamental to article marketing. Have a look at this super-helpful thread: you'll find a succession of very experienced, successful, professional article marketers explaining in detail all their (shared) reasons for publishing their articles on their own sites before submitting them to article directories (if they're using article directories, that is).
