Can Anyone Rank A Joomla Site??

Hi all. I have a problem with a new site I want to build, which can not be done easily with wordpress, which is all I know unfortunately.

I need to rank my homepage and subpages for different keywords (eg. only):
www.b^ynewcars.com
www.buynewcars.com/best-new-american-cars
www.buynewcars.com/top-10-sports-cars-in-the-world

Content of subpages needs to be updated with blog style posts regularly, and was wondering if anyone uses Joomla or similar for SEOd sites to rank subpages?

Will regular posts on a subpage deter google from ranking that page, when there are sub-sub urls extending from them with the new posts? (eg.www.buynewcars.com/top-10-sports-cars-in-the-world/march2011)

Are there any SEO bugs or issues that can hinder the SEO of a Joomla based site???

I dont think there is any issue of SEO in joomla based site - they rank same as wordpress sites...

I have been working on joomla sites since 2005.

my suggestion would be: install the seo plugin to rename the url as you have said that you have sub-sub-urls... therefore seo plugin can restructure that for you.
