Hello guys, I'm wondering what are you looking for when researching a niche to see if it's easy to rank? Are you searching for the keyword, the "keyword" or for allintitle? And how many results are a lot? Thanks. Regards, Marian |

I'm looking for just plain keyword. That's how the vast majority of people search. I don't care about the number of results, for the following reasons... > No matter how many results come back, Google isn't going to show more than 1,000 results and often much fewer. > Depending on the nature of the search, even persistent searchers aren't going to go more than a few pages into the results. Many won't go past the first page. They'll modify their search string first. (Which is why I don't consider being on the second or third page any kind of failure. If the content is a good match for the new search, it's fairly likely that you might jump to the first page.) > Some people will tell you that you should only worry about the top three positions, quoting an old bit of research to back up their point. For some types of searches, they're right. (For example, if I'm looking for the phone number for the Domino's Pizza in my neighborhood, and it's right there in the top slot, I'm not going to keep scrolling down. If it's visible in the description, I'm not even clicking, just dialing.) For other searches, your page title and description (or whichever bit of text Google grabs to display) can make a huge difference. There are numerous WSO's talking about numbers. Some say phrase match under 30'000 is perfect, other think 100'000 is not too much. When i search for keyword i:
One warrior recently made and sold for $1 WSO saying that you can rank for ANY keyword and it's true. But outranking the first means having better backlinks and on-page SEO. Isn't it simple? |

Could be different for different niches. I idealy use "keyword" = 50,000 allintitle = 5000 allinurl = 5000 to be at the least. |

For competition search "keyword" and then allintitle:"keyword" . When "keyword" gets less tan 10k results, it is dead easy to rank with some backlinks and basic SEO.
