It was a little over an hour ago that I was hanging out on a survivalist forum when I got the news that Osama Bin Laden was dead. I had just started a self sustaining family survivalist blog today, and when I heard this, the first thing I thought about was retaliation. So I went over to Yahoo, and saw nothing trending. I did a quick search, which told me the President of the US would address the nation about national security at 10:40pm. So I turn on CNN and there it is. In that hour, I made two blog posts, and just now checked. "Osama Bin Laden dead" is #1 on Yahoo Trends. But nothing about it at all on Google Trends. Looks like Yahoo scooped Google. Interesting. Just thought I'd share. -Dani |

Update: Just now, 2 hours after the first reports came over the Internet, it's finally trending at #1 on Google. I guess I'll look to Yahoo for the 'scoop' on hot trends now. -Dani |
