Would love to see a video of the program in operation. The sales page is the usual "YOU CAN BOOST YOUR RANK AND BE RICH LIKE ME!" garbage. Showing how the program works would sell anyone educated about this stuff, it's only the noobs that fall for the 10,000 word sales copy.

You do realize you can download it and use the demo all you want? There's just a few advanced features disabled.. and all the topics have videos built into the program.

Yep its worth it. I have all the IM tools you can name (Xrumer , SEnuke X , AMR , Scrapebox , TT , SERPAttacks , Rank tracker PRo, SEscout and more) and this tool is a great addition if you run an SEO service or want to rank your own site.

Sorry didn't mean to say only noobs would buy it I've been using v3 free version for a while, it's a good product. I just wish people would stop creating this gigantic sales pages, and just list the features and have a simple video showing off the best features. I run an SEO firm... I'm just picky about software, judging by all you listed you seem to be program happy. The biggest issue I have, is that I would rather go by instincts, logic, and general info available to anyone, than to use a program that supposedly makes it easier and more efficient.

I don't mean any offense to that, I'm just trying to judge to see if I should get it or not. I guess I need to read up on it a bit more. Wish somebody could do a video review.

I agree with what you guys are saying about having the income screenshots on the page, I'm still split testing to see what converts best (I hope you can understand that from a marketing perspective).

My preference would be a short, clean salescopy with video demonstrations of the features, but unfortunately that formula has often resulted in terrible conversion rates for me. Still, I am continuing to split test the sales page and will take this feedback from you guys on board. I'll certainly try the style of sales page that you are recomending here. As far as sales pages are concerned, I want to accurately represent what the software does (ie I hate 'blind' salescopies), while maximizing conversion rates.

On a side note, make sure you check out the bonuses. Don't underrate them, if you are a member, go through them, I put a LOT of work into them and I believe that many of you will gain tremendous value from them.

I used TT v3 for a while...it satisfied me a lot! Now have purchased TT v4 few hours ago and made few tests.

I post here an email sent their support about some (almost on my laptop installation) buggy (or missing compared to TT v3) features:

I've just purchased TT v4 and made few tests after used TT v3 (free version) for a while.
I'm very happy with the new interface...a bit less satisfied with some buggy features (or missing features compared to TT v3)...

I'm working on a Win Vista SP2 laptop and TT is installed under "C:Program FilesTraffic Travis v4"

Here the bugs I found (i've attacched an image or two for each point, except #6):

1. all the icons are missing in on Page Warings reports and Ranking reports (maybe an issue with absolute path with space chars in it?) -> HIGH PRIORITY!
2. for some pages backlinks count is present and correct (for example, 75), but when i double-click the bl count number (and push the "analyze" button too) no backlinks details are displayed (i was expecting 75 bl information records). I've tested this feature in TT v3, where it works fine. I don't know if this is the problem but i think that if Majestic SEO/SEOmoz data are not present you should anyway retrieve informations from Yahoo Site Explorer! Better thing would be if i could choose between the two different bl data sources (Majestic-SEOMOZ and Yahoo) -> HIGH PRIORITY!
3. can't do any keyword research!!! I've also filled the Adwords credentials fields (which are correct) and tested this feature in TT v3, where it works fine. I fill the keyword field and push "fetch" button...it hangs for a while (hear a couple sort of mouseclick noise) then everything stops and no data is displayed -> HIGH PRIORITY!
4. can't find precious informations in SEO-competition tab wich were present in TT v3 (Seo Analysis feature): TBL, DMOZ, YAHOO, Title, Desc, H1 tag, GCA wich are VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS (don't say they're obsolete SEO factors please!) -> HIGH PRIORITY!
5. can't find precious informations in Backlinks page like "Link In", "Link Out", "Follow" as present on TT v3 (i based this issue on columns header becouse can't retrieve datas as mentioned above): HIGH PRIORITY!
6. knowledge base menu option doesn't open anything: LOW PRIORITY

I agree, there are a few portions of the program that are fubar, but for the most part it works well. To answer the one question above about "where is the competition data" that shows the star rating etc... it's under the "Research" tab. Run a search for a keyword and then it's on the far right hand column under "SEO difficulty"

Honestly I would not buy this product right now. I've added an annotation to the video review I made so that people are aware of this. As I go through each module in detail, I'm finding more and more bugs. I'm still reviewing each module, but you will be able to see all of the bugs.

Regarding bugs, we are releasing updates daily and most are getting fixed within a day or 2 of being discovered. Many users haven't even encountered bugs as it is working perfectly on most computers, depending on how they are using it.

Fair review ryanjm, but like I said, I can't see those bugs still being there in a matter of days. They did not occur during beta testing, and some are occuring due to updates we have made not being compatible with all systems.

I really like the keyword strength of competition function but I'd like to use that with exact match or even have the ability to import a list of keywords from a different tool and use Traffic Travis to check strength of competition on the imported keywords.

The bonuses I had planned on checking out when I wasn't busy. I'm really happy with what I'm doing right now and getting good results, so I'm not really looking for a new 'system.' I guess I'm just past the information gathering stage and simply taking action right now. I'll definitely check some of the stuff out when I've got some down time though.

You do realize that TT4 is showing you the Broad Match results for keyword research? If you go by those numbers then you are waisting your time.

I don't think it's simple coding but TT4 is not a game changer by any means.
Mark is a great guy and Affilorama is the first IM product i ever purchased, but unfortunately TT4 is not his best product.

Even with the problems Market Samurai is having it's still better than TT4, now TT4 may get some much needed improvements soon giving it a boost but for now it's going to be relegated to my spare drive.

Regard to broad/exact match keyword research...

I don't think broad match is useless at all, expecially for quite long tail keywords...i think the better way to implement a feature about it is to give users the possibility to choose everytime what kind of research to do...(which is the same feature that other top-sellers software already have...)

I did used traffic travis, it is really helpful, you can monitor traffic, keywords, etc. It same with market samurai, but I prefer market samurai.

Another major shortcoming I have noticed making it almost useless is the way you cant define the region in the Research module, All keyword metrics are from Google US. If I want to know how many people are seraching for the term "australian widgets" on google.com.au, I cant. Its a mystery until I fire up good'o MS.

Also I want to be able to import my own keywords for analysis, at this stage there is no option for that.

Market Samurai with all its bugs and slowness can do all this.

On the plus side, its easy to give them feedback/suggestions and I have already seen 2 updates today, so stuff is happening back in HQ

Hi Simon, thank you for update announcement and for your PM too (couldn't reply due to poor post count).

I've installed the 4.0.0.2607 update....BUT:

1. haven't seen any changelog durint upgrading...where is it ?
2. Only #1 issue was solved (missing icons)...what's about other HIGH PRIORITY issues ?
3. For #6: the menu option is magically disappeared...(anyway, i know it's not a core feature...)

I do think you and your team are doing your best (TT3 is the proof you work good)...but i *really* need these features to get fixed.

Can you post a roadmap about fixing #2, #3, #4 and #5 issues please ?

I'd like almost to know if we're talking about days...weeks...or what ?!?

I have found that when I try to Analise the backlinks in the seo section I get a blank page also..looks like it is about to pull in data..but never does...I hope they fix this soon..looks like it will be a great tool if they can get the bugs out.

Yeah, I've submitted like 6-7 feedback reports. Part of the issue is that some of the problems aren't bugs, but rather just missing/downgraded features.

"My Site" Missing/Worse Features:

1. Compare the data you are showing for "page warningings" in V.4 to your own product V.3. Where is the word count and keyword density? You've simplified this at the expense of showing good data. Now we don't know what our KW density is, just that it's "below 2%." That's like if you asked me the speed limit on a road and I said "below 200mph." Just show the numbers. And the word count. And the top 20 words, etc... all of the old data. I mean I was hoping for something perhaps more advanced with new metrics, but I'll settle for just having the old data back.

My Site Bugs:

1. The system will hang while updating a site and show a never-ending 'working' logo. You can replicate this by using the same test-site that I did: livinginthelightms.com

2. Incomplete info. Might be related to the issue in #1, but the PR is showing 0 when it in fact has a PR of 3.

"Research" Missing/Worse Features:

1. Broad match. You know this now, but just really confusing to me how this slipped past. Exact match search is one of the first things learned...

2. Words instead of stars. Why? Relatively easy, kinda easy, sorta easy. Just use the stars, it's way faster to determine competition at a glance than reading columns of words. I know it's somewhat tricky at first because 5 stars could be super hard or super easy, but just put a little key at the top of the page. Problem solved.

3. Save keyword searches. I don't want to save them to a csv, I just want to be able to see a list of all of the searches I've already run and quickly take a look at the data. Kinda like how market samurai has done for a looong time.

"Research" Bugs:

1. Intitle and Inanchor randomly fill in, or not. It just doesn't seem to work all the time for lots of keywords.

2. SEO difficulty link measurement is whacked. Check it yourself, even Mr. Ling's demo video showed this bug. It shows that the number of links to a page is greater than the number of links to the entire site. This is supposed to be Majestic link data right? I did my own search with Majestic and the numbers coming out of TTv4 are coming from thin air. Therefore, one of the biggest competition measuring metrics is broken, and therefore the keyword research module is useless as of right now.

3. Domain research flat out doesn't work. I've replicated this numerous times. You press fetch with your keywords automatically entered, and it returns nothing. Or if you put in a phrase like "best trolls for kids" it returns any domain with the word "for" in it.


Anyway, I could go on (like mentioning there isn't actually even a button to press to update your keyword rankings. You can set the frequency of an update, but if you want to update 'right now' you can't do that.) but I'm sure you guys have your hands full with all of the reports already sent in. I'm glad you guys are working to address the issues and I look forward to using the program once the beta is over.

3. Save keyword searches. I don't want to save them to a csv, I just want to be able to see a list of all of the searches I've already run and quickly take a look at the data. Kinda like how market samurai has done for a looong time.

"Research" Bugs:

1. Intitle and Inanchor randomly fill in, or not. It just doesn't seem to work all the time for lots of keywords.

2. SEO difficulty link measurement is whacked. Check it yourself, even Mr. Ling's demo video showed this bug. It shows that the number of links to a page is greater than the number of links to the entire site. This is supposed to be Majestic link data right? I did my own search with Majestic and the numbers coming out of TTv4 are coming from thin air. Therefore, one of the biggest competition measuring metrics is broken, and therefore the keyword research module is useless as of right now.

3. Domain research flat out doesn't work. I've replicated this numerous times. You press fetch with your keywords automatically entered, and it returns nothing. Or if you put in a phrase like "best trolls for kids" it returns any domain with the word "for" in it.


Anyway, I could go on (like mentioning there isn't actually even a button to press to update your keyword rankings. You can set the frequency of an update, but if you want to update 'right now' you can't do that.) but I'm sure you guys have your hands full with all of the reports already sent in. I'm glad you guys are working to address the issues and I look forward to using the program once the beta is over.

I agree with everything you mentioned.
I just don't understand how Mark who is a very experienced IM'er allowed TT4 to be launched in this state.
It's almost as if they launched TT4 in this half ass'd BETA version with the intention of fixing problems or adding features as they were reported/requested by users.
