Yes, Aged domain really good to rank for your new keyword if it never getting ban by Google.

Also you need spend more than new domain to buy them, also new domain also can rank good as old domain too if you have enough quality back link fast.

In testing, I have found that aged domains get indexed more quickly and begin increasing in rank more quickly than a brand new domain, but did not determine the ultimate rank of the site.

Yes, domain age is an important factor in "all" things Internet related. Each year that passes, the value of that domain increases.

Tips :
1. start with an aged domain that already has on topic links, you’ll definitely speed up the ranking process.
2. try checking that the domain has ever been dropped before or not. Try buying a domain that has never dropped
3. If available try buying an aged domain that already listed in DMOZ and Yahoo Dir, (its not cheap, but you will get a lot of advantages with it)
4. Beware of Fake PR

Hope this helps

An old domain can be like an aged wine, good or bad. The bad comes from when a few sour grapes get in and start messing with things like unethical ways to grab higher ranks, now a finely aged wine....well you guys know how that turns out.

Yo, I'm sorry but I just have to try and stop people from pushing this domain Age Theory. A lot of people are just repeating what they have seen somewhere. aside from being less than about 90 days old... Domain age has absolutely nothing to do with how well you will rank.

If you see a domain ranking highly and it is old... That is simply because it is an Established domain and being old is purely incidental.

Please watch so you wont be wasting time hunting for a domain that will not help you much.

Use domaintools -com to check if the domain has ever drooped (whois record coloumn - registrar history)

Use checkpagerank -net to see if it listed in DMOZ and Y!

Type info:domainname in the G search box to see if its PR faked or not

Hope this helps
