I removed Adsense and testing Clickbank

Hi Guys, I was just trying to do something different with my website earnings, rite now I am earning 1$ per day with adsense. But now today I have removed adsense from my website and have placed clickbank hop links is this a good move, will this help me improve my earning, I am bit confused I have more than 250 visitors on my website and bounce rate is on an average of 35%. So do I have chances to succeed with this move.

I think it would be a good move if the bulk of your traffic is from US, Canada, Australia and the UK. If not then it's a bad move

I don't think so its an good idea to move back from adsense to clickbank. I have also tried this on one of my websites that receives traffic approx 200 visitors per day, but by the month end my earning was ZERO. It was a bad experience.

You wont know and no one can really tell you. Give it about a week and see what your results look like. If your making more money keep it up. If your not making any money then more then likely bad idea.

Clickbank links are a bit harder to convert than Adsense because the visitor actually needs to make a purchase for you to earn a commission, so in theory, Adsense is better since all you need to do is to get some clicks. However, if you drive some traffic towards the clickbank links then it would be profitable in the long term. Hmm, I'm not sure - there are quite a few marketers who mix in Adsense and Clickbank on the same site, with great success.

I did it earlier as well, so now I am thinking to try clickbank for one week if there is no success, then I will add both to my website adsense+clickbank.

In my opinion, I think to allow approximately week or above to see the results and then you decide if you want to keep the clickbank hop links or return to adsense.

Adsense is much more easier than clickbank hop links; because clickbank hop links people must purchase from your affiliate links to get commissions, but in Adsense you can get money from even if no one will buy from the advertiser site.

I am promoting make money schemes, on my website. I dont know if its right product, I am new to CB. Can you recommend me some products which would be a good match.

I truly believe that adsense will be more diversified that clickbank. Don't get me wrong, clickbank is good, but it is much more involved than a simple click. They have to buy the product advertised.

Now the rewards are higher per buy, but is it worth it and is it as targeted as adsense is the question. Let us know! ;o)

the folks that rock with CB. For me, and anyone else like me...
(That is, not up to a learning curve for CB) stick with easy
stuff. I also don't like the terms of getting paid from CB.

If you are going to ditch adsense, get some product you can
own and sell yourself via your own paypal.

But that's a BIG "IF."

Interesting. I somehow assumed that you may have had your fingers not only in a lot of different pies (sites), but also in a few different flavours of pie (different monetisation models).

I'm not sure what you mean in relation to the CB learning-curve, though. It's more simple than it looks/seems - it's just that a lot of people make a lot of silly, self-limiting mistakes that put a heavy damper on the majority of their earnings potential.

For example: spending too little time on product selection and picking bad products; not appreciating the importance of targeted vs. non-targeted traffic; promoting products whose vendors' have opt-ins on their sales pages and/or who employ "shady copywriting tactics"; failing to build list; not "respecting" their subscribers; and so on ...

For myself, I make good money from AdSense and Amazon. They're still, by and large, my bread and butter, but that's only because I've only fairly recently focused my attention on Clickbank. Picking up, though. Again, not as hard as it looks.

And for the OP: you may do well to consider some of the common mistakes I've outlined above. Failure to build a list, for example, makes it hard to build any relationship to speak of with your visitors, and in turn would make it difficult to sell many Clickbank products - at least without a LOT of well-targeted traffic.

For the kind of site it is, I think AdSense is more suited to it. If it were a site dedicated to reviews or actually how to make money online then CB or Amazon would be ideal. But in this case I personally feel AdSense is the best option although theres no harm in throwing in other things like InfoLinks etc into the mix.

One of the problems I see here, though, is that the content should probably be changed dramatically as well. What I would write to place AdSense would be different than what I would write to place CB products and I would feel compelled to make some changes before just swapping one for the other.

I had a question though...why is it imperative to pre-sell CB products? I understand that you'll convert higher on the clicks you get...but wouldn't the salesy message lessen the clicks? I mean (without preselling)...if I had 1,000 visits to my site, 100 clickthroughs and 1 sale...wouldn't it be the same as if (with preselling) I had 1,000 visits to my site, 20 clickthroughs and 1 sale. Yes, my sales conversion on their sales page went up 5x, but I'd have much fewer clickthroughs, no?

A reminder to those of you placing AdSense - While it's true that you get paid for only clicks, there is an advertiser on the other end that is expecting some conversions out of those clicks. Remember that just boosting your traffic to your site overall might get you more clicks...but it's RELEVANT traffic that's key.

You pointed on a very important aspect of adsense, that is conversion. All the advertisers want conversion from their ads, I have also read that some accounts of adsense have been rejected which were up and running, due too poor conversions is it true?

I don't know for sure. I do know that they sometimes smart price your site (NOT your account) if there are low conversions for the advertiser...but I really don't know how they verify "low conversions" with the advertiser. What if their page simply doesn't convert well? It's probably based on how long the visitors stay on the page...something like that...that Google looks at, but that's a guess on my part.

Yea I think the bounce rate plays a role over here, when there is too much bounce rate from the clicks of a particular website it comes under scanner.

Clickbank pay you less on one click but if you work more harder with adsense then you have a chance to earn 500$ in one month. Adsense is best and reliable site which pay you 100% .

I think you have done a mistake. Clickbank need more targeted traffic from people who have a mindset to purchase stuff. Otherwise you will not get conversions and waste adsense clicks. Your site is a classified site which doesn't have product reviews. Basically product review sites perform well with clickbank products. Anyway your placement of Adsense blocks are really good

Thanks for your advice and appreciating ad placement. Click bank takes time and more effort than adsense. So I am going to start a new blog on the topic which I am interested in and will give it a try with clickbank.

Everyone has valid advice, but no one is mentioning the obvious. If you were making about $1.00 a day with adsense = $30month. Why not do this, ad one or two clickbank buttons, to your site that are revelant to your site.
Or why not build another site, what ever you did to get the 230 visitors - try to do it again. Only promote clickbank products. Perhaps have a link to your first site. I dont see the dilema. Actually - If you built 10more sites that would average you about $300 a month. This is a numbers game by the way. Always think volume and or niche.
