Default 2 Of My Top 3 Sites has been removed by Google

Sorry guys...just want to share my experience building a <7 months old amazon affiliate website on a blogger platform and got booted by google. So, I just got my 2nd blog removed in 3 weeks time and this email was sent for one of it (today)..and the first one without any notice..both my blogger sites are top 3 on their main keyword for the past 3-4 months.

"Your blog at http://***.blogspot.com has been reviewed and confirmed as in violation of our Terms of Service for: SPAM. In accordance to these terms, we've removed the blog and the URL is no longer accessible."

Well, I kind of expected this to happen sooner or later and it was a good experience as both blog were the first 2 blog that I used to learn on SEO and the first mistakes was the search count was not high enough <500 exact searches a month, the second is probably i just copy paste the reviews and product details and slap my affiliate links. For both sites I managed to make maybe 10-15 bucks on adsense but what makes me kind of upset is that one of it just started to give me like 50-60$ in amazon revenue in the last 2-3 weeks..and my other paid domains are still struggling to rank but it's getting there..so no joy for me for at least 2-3 months at least. So, I think with the recent algo changes they are getting serious and probably checking all the top ranking sites..

Well, there you go..hope this would be a good lesson for me and for everybody else..Hopefully I can bounce back from this "temporary" setback..

Edited: I just realize 1 more thing..I just finished my 10K blast to the website yesterday and today It's gone for good..

Sorry to hear that, but you should be aware that your affiliate sites on
Blogger could be taken down anytime by Google.

If you are not building a highly personal blog without any internet marketing smell,
then it is fine to go with Blogger. But personally I would never depend on
a third party service for whatever purpose my site is.

Make a mistake unknowingly and your site is gone forever...

For your blogspot blog that got deleted, how many backlinks did you post on other blogspot blogs that you don't own (not your blogs)?

To tell ya the truth I stopped reading your thread the second I read "blogspot"

If you are going to put time and energy into anything online make sure it is a property you own. If you rented an apartment monthly you didn't own... would you really invest your own money into hardwood floors and new windows? No because the land lord can kick you out any time they want and you never get compensated for your work and investment in their property...

Same goes for online properties. Blogspot, Hub Pages, Squidoo and any article directory are not your property even though your content is on them. Invest in ranking your own domains and post content on your own sites people!

LOL... at least you're providing more value in the thread than me!

I think this is a very important lesson, to not depend on a third party!

Yeap..learned that the hard way but it was a good experience..

Hmmm...after further investigating, I realized that I did a 10K blast for BOTH of the websites and now both are gone. Both started to loose ranking in the last 30 days due to the recent algo changes I think hence the blast.

Blog 1 - Blast 10K early April -> Gone 2-3 weeks later
Blog 2 - Blast 10K last 2 days -> Gone Today

Agreed, buy your own hosting.

Still, I have an old blogspot site that brings in $$ every single month (4+ years now), 600+ pages.

I'll never move that site to payed hosting as long as I'm cashing checks each month.

Easy free money.

I hear all the time how you should NEVER "build up someone else's site". Myself, I use Squidoo/Hubpages for link juice and easy extra income. I build pages on them that A) link to my own site, and B) rank and bring in money. If they go down, no big deal, but they're pretty legit so no reason they would. Anyway, it's not a huge time investment either. 20 minutes on content and 20 minutes on backlinks, then set & forget.

I agree with you Richard.

Third party entities can be worth it IF you do not spend much time on them. It's never a good idea to dedicate an entire business model on third party websites. But like you say, you can still benefit from them with very little investment in time (and none whatsoever in money).

a guess we all of to be careful now a days with how we do things with our sites.
Google is the big guns around here, so if we slip up with them its a major lost for us.

hope i never get any of my sites banned...........
got banned from adsense 2 times ,,its not a nice feeling...
so a guess getting your site banned is even worst...

It's bad but don't give up.
Buy your own domain and start again.
Good luck!

I get what you're saying but at the same time the difference with you compared to most in the OP's predicament, is that they make these 3rd party services their entire primary business plan.
