Domain Age Reset ? am i start over from zero again ?

Hello,
i'm backordered a 3 years old domain and succedd ! but when i check the whois... the created date shown as today !

so.. am i start just as a new domain again ?

Its now classed as a dropped domain, if you are lucky with in time the backlinks which still point to the domain can come back and give you some benefit providing the content you put on that domain is in the same niche/topic as it previously was prior to being dropped.

I wouldnt say you have blank canvas but the domain has been "reset" as such. I have owned dropped domains over the years and often they turn out to be extremely authoritative sites done the right way.

i think if that domains backlinks are stil live

nothings is important... some times i can see google takes first page domains whichs were registered only 2 month before

You can have thousands, millions quantity or quality backlinks overtime, but when your competitor has equal backlinks, it is other factors that count and decide your rankings, and one of them is domain age.

Never underestimate the power of domain age =)
