Got myself some nice backlinks by guest blogging

This has been said before but I thought I'd offer it as a tip for those looking to get traffic/search rankings.

Recently I have been guest blogging for my sites and my clients websites. This has proven so much more effective than article marketing because the content is being distributed on REAL sites (save syndication, article banks are just content farms these days!). What's best is when the article sits on the homepage of a PR3 or PR4 site for a few weeks - nice traffic and search boost!

To find sites which will accept your post, goto Google and search:

niche "guest post"
niche "write for us"

Be sure to include the quotes to get an exact match, and obv replace niche with your subject matter.

Very nice. Was this on internet marketing related sites? I was just wondering because as I see it as a very viable solution there, I've had a rough time finding sites to guest blog on in other areas.

just type in niche name + "guest post". obv there will be more in IM.

Hey, I just did a quick search like that and found quite a few places in my obscure niche where I can guest post. Great idea! The best I had done in the past was done a search for "niche", which never really turned anything up. Thanks!

What happens when your article is no longer on the site's main page. Do you lose that link juice? I presume you do, but the traffic boost would be worth it anyway I guess. I'm going to check this out. Thanks.

Most blogs won't allow you to submit it to other places. Anyway, guest posting is one of the most powerful ways to get exposed and get traffic quick ..

To improve your chances of being able to submit a post, comment on the blog a bit so they know you aren't just some random person and you actually care about their blog.

glad you all find it useful. i've submitted 3 guest posts in the past 24 hours, if i keep on at this rate i'll have a lot of content out there pointing back to my site!

MUCH better than wasting time submitting to directories and dare i say, more ethical than link buying and article directory spamming.

I really wanted to find a way to guest blog for my sites since it is one of the powerful ways for traffic and link juice but never knew which blog accepts posts and which don't.

I have some authoritative blogs of which i would accept guest posts, one in webdesign, one in marketing and one in webmaster/seo niches .

Im happy to have guest bloggers providing you can provide unique creative posts which are not directly promoting your site and you wish to continue guest blogging on a regular basis , one hit wonders are not wanted.

You are welcome to have a sentence and upto 3 backlinks in the author box of which you will fill out in your wordpress bio on your profile, it will then show up on every post you make .

Information in the posts should be well researched and accurate with good english spelling and grammar and should include at least one image to make the post look more appealing .

All of these blogs are on different IP's and are at least a PR4 homepage.
