Default How do I ping my new backlinks?

Hey,
I have heard from several guys now that when I build some new backlinks I should ping them right away so Google finds them more quickly.

My problem is...where exactly do I find the URL of my backlink so I know what to ping?

Would I look in the browser bar for the address to the page and comment I just made?

I have no clue! Please advise!
Thanks, Ruth M

Whoever created the backlinks for you should have given you a report listing all the URLs of those backlinks. To ping them, go to Pingler.com and enter in each URL. Be careful when pinging. I wouldn't recommend pinging more than 5 URLs that have backlinks to your site per day. It could create a negative effect and result in Google punishing you...

Hope that helps

I just use PingDevice.com

Best thing about this is it does bulk pinging - saving you the time to ping each link seperately

Hi, Ruth. I'm jumping in here because it looks as if the first two responses kind of missed the thrust of your question. You're talking about backlinks you created yourself by commenting on blogs and/or forums, right? If so, then yes, you have it exactly right. The backlink to ping is synonymous with the URL you see in your browser's address bar while you can see your posted comment in the browser's main window.

if you have many backlinks and it take a long time to index with your hand, you can find a service on fiverr to help you. Your backlinks will be indexed without your effort for just $5.Or you can use sites that were already specified in previous posts.

Yea just take the URL from the search bar and paste all your links in a text file
You can use pingfarm or pingler
I heard linklicious.me works pretty good
they have a free service but their paid service works better

do not ping them as it is less effective use Social bookmarking to get them indexed as this is much more effective then pinging them
