How much is this backlink worth?

Whenever I look at the link section I see PR3 and PR4 links being sold for anywhere between $20-$30. And whenever I see the Warriors for hire section I notice that people are selling thousands of backlinks on High PR sites, but the page itself with the link on is not-known Pagerank or at best a PR0.

If you could buy 25 backlinks with PR3-PR4 on the page itself, where you could decide your keyword and link. These backlinks are of course do-follow and can be chosen as permanent.

How much would you pay for this? I am curious because I know someone who got a quite awesome network of authority websites. My thoughts are that he could create a fortune, but am I wrong here? (I don't think he would sell links though).

Are we talking about $30 bucks? $50? or maybe $100 for 25 backlinks which are REAL PR3 and PR4(even PR5 and a single PR6!)

Backlinks that come from a high PR site are better than having 100s of non PR backlinks
The higher PR a backlink has the better it is in google's eyes

They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them. For instance, if they're relevant to someone's site they would be willing to pay a higher price than someone who has a site that's unrelated to the backlink.
