I've spent most of my time with just 1 ad block on most pages. Recently started adding a 468 x 60 at the bottom of the page but I really don't bother tracking and analysing that stuff too much. I think less is more, too many ads make the site look awful. 1 good sized one above the fold should do it |

1-2 blocks in prominent locations should be fine. 3 blocks, even 2 in some cases, can be a little excessive.

I use 2 or 3 ads unit in all my pages. It depends on the quality and design of the page. It varies site to site. You have to find out which is good for you.

I have had the best results with 1 ad - a block (250x250 or 300x250) that has the content wrapped around it (so it is left justified with content on the right). Lee |

I stick to 2 text blocks. I stay away from banners because I know people instantaneously connect them with advertising. Despite what Google recommends about blending your site colors with the advertisement colors I have better results when I do extreme color changes to highlight the ads. Something like a lime green over a black background has always performed well for me over trying to blend the links in with my own site colors.

I always use 2. One at the top of the article & one at the bottom.

it depends on the type of content. i agreed with others less is better. on some pages i have put only 1 square ad unit above the content. it is producing 5 % ctr. If i get low ctr, then i add more ad units. |

Thanks all for your advice and contribution. My another question is, Will having more ad unit decrease the cost per click? From your experience, which is best? Tim |
