What effect do strong words have in domain names?

I dont think it will create any problem. The name got the meaning. Before registering you can simple ask your query, they will inform you if it will have penalty or not.

There is about three different segments you can fit into with the question you're asking. Simple adjectives like that ("kills") will not be a problem. Google judges the theme of a site through the context in which words are used. So the use of negative adjectives here and there is not something to worry about. just don't lead a way from your theme in your context. There may be some words you want to stay away from if they lead to a similar product that incidentally crosses over your keyword set. For example: sometimes people want to stay away from the word "free" because it's spammy. If your site develops an overall theme of violence or a theme Google considers to be adult material that would hurt you unless that is your intended audience. Those people are going to type in those words on purpose during their search anyway. It's just like Google does not auto-fill profanity or auto suggest words or phrases leading to adult materials. Words that would be cause a serious problem are ones that led to something like illegal activity such as N0N legal photographic material(I don't want to give any examples here which could possibly damage the forum). it's the kind of stuff that would get you arrested. I think you know the kind of material on talking about. |

You want to make sure your word choice is eye catching and something the consumer will remember. Always make sure you highlight the MAIN idea of what you're trying to convey with an elaborate YET short way of saying it.

Hi oneplusone, While it should not be a problem for SEO, since this is also an AdSense forum, I would like to mention that certain death related words will cause AdSense to not be displayed for that page. Google considers it poor taste to display ads on a page that discusses a recent death. |
