I have never used AdWords yet and am considering a project to test it out a bit. One idea that I've had is using it on a site set up with a travel site affiliate program. I've already found one that I think I want to try. However, I'm not sure how AdWords will feel about this. The site I set up would simply be a search page for hotels in different locations. It meets the content guidelines listed under travel aggregation on the AdWords website. However, as it would not have original content on the site, I am wondering if it would still be in danger of getting the campaign shut down. Anyone have experience with this? If so, I'd love to hear some details so I can distinguish real experience from the general "Google will ban you if your socks don't match" mentality that many on this forum have. Would I be better off to have a page set up talking about a specific travel destination with links on it to the hotel results for that area? I would prefer not to do that if possible so my visitors don't have to make that extra jump before getting to the money page, but shouldn't be too bad if need be. |
