Default Panda killed Ezine - So now what???

So now that your anchored keyword links in Ezine are no longer going to help push your keywords up to #1 on Google, whats the next SEO technique to rank high with keywords??

Any thoughts??

this is one of those times in the Internet where we will see a major change In the Way Google deals with things. Throughout Google's history there have been turning points like this.

I think Google made a mistake by allowing floods of inbound links and mass article circulation to boost rankings to such a high degree. I believe they will now do what they have historically done which is devalue these factors that have been spammed out.

if I had to guess I would say that on-site content that is - NOT distributed or pumped out through spam channels will take center stage. sites that keep content to themselves. This will make it a longer and harder climb to the top.

What does the panda update have to do with links in EZA?
Absolutely nothing. If that was your SEO "technique," man
I don't know where you've been living.

He's talking about how ezine articles rank in Google. Google even said that it has specifically targeted ezine (among about 10 other big sites) that had the sole purpose of creating mass content to grab spots for all kind of keywords. Its pretty obvious as ezine articles don't rank as well anymore. This is one of the reasons they drastically changed the requirements for publishing an article; they're trying to get their authority back.

I think what paulgl was saying is, If your seo strategy is trying to rank EZA pages, well, that's what we would call a fail!

Traffic will always follow good content, whether it is an article, a forum post, a Squidoo lens, a hubpage, a Youtube video or whatever.

The problem here for most folks is that a web 2.0 page or site will no longer automatically climb the SERPs and power your money site up with it just because you filled the 2.0 site with keyword rich content. Spraying the 2.0's with a lot of spammy backlinks is not likely to work for much longer either.

Some guys have adopted the strategy of building more and more layers, in effect burying the spam deeper and deeper. This will work, for a time.

However, eventually, only good content and links from good content will count with Google, for one very simple reason. This is what Google wants, and the technology that will provide this is coming sooner or later, whether you like it or not.

The last article I read about artificial intelligence predicted that computers will have human like intelligence by the late 2020's. Just what do you think folks like Google are going to use that intelligence for? Did it ever occur to anyone that separating the good content from the spam would be a profitable use for all that processing power???

Sooner or later good content will be all that matters, and that time is rapidly approaching.

I agree with what has been said about Ezine. But here's an odd thing... I submit about one article per month to Ezine. Usually they get approved within 7-14 days.

Last week my article got approved in about 36 hours. I have no idea why. It was the same type of content I usually write. But I'm not complaining.

You really put a right question !.. After the G Panda update article submission strategy is no more a effective SEO.
So, for now:-
1.Guest Posting.
2. Forum posting.
3. Active in Social Media.

Would be the most effective measures..
