Default Question About Differences Between Google Analytics Data and Host Gator Numbers

I am tracking the unique visitors to about a dozen Exact Match Domain sites I have created. Ten of twelve are on page one of Google. I am tracking each in Google Analytics to see the daily traffic. I also get the traffic data from the analytic tools in Host Gator where all of the sites are hosted.

Unfortunately I am not seeing much correlation between the two sets of data. Now, I do not expect 100%, but in some cases I see 2X or more traffic on Host Gator than GA. I will also see sites getting in Host Gator but not in GA.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why there is this large difference. There is not much I can do about I suspect, however at least having some understanding would be nice.

Thanks.
