Hi all, I'm in the gradual process of building an authority site based on XFactor's authority site book. I'm busily writing posts and articles in the niche, but i'm wondering that if i grab articles from various directories (ie Articlesbase.com) and post them on my site, but still giving full credit to the original author (including any links they have), will this affect any ranking in Google, or more importantly, will this get me banned? I've already been banned and reinstated this year and I REALLY don't want to go through it again! I want to get a lot of relevant content on to my site so it fits into the theme of the niche I'm targeted, but i just want to make sure that it won't get me blacklist on Google. I will still be writing and posting original content and submitting the original content to the various directories. I won't be trying to submit any articles I find on some article directory to claim as my own.Any advice or experiences like this woudl be greatly appreciated best regards, Diver D. |

Google likes unique content if you want an authority website use unique content although I am an article directory owner I do not recommend copy paste from article directories.

Well this is what I'm wodering about. I had a look at a site made by XFactor as he had in his Authority site ebook. I had a look at all the articles, and it looked like pretty much ALL of the articles from from Articlesbase.com. Will this affect his Adsense account if he does nothing but other author's articles? He's not trying to pass them off as his own, as the articles still have all the backlinks as well. Does anyone else here employ this strategy? regards, Doug |

If you look at the site he uses in his guide, you will also notice that there is a second menu on the right hand side linking to all sorts of nonsense authority sites. Seems like this page is being used as a test so I wouldn't worry too much about the content itself. I think it is better to write everything yourself - you cant cheat your way to top notch content.

Using some duplicate content can be OK, however I would make sure that it is not the bulk of you site. Also, when you do it just make sure it is very search engine and viewer friendly.

There is a site online that looks like his, but is full of article directory articles. I emailed John about this and he does not condone posting those articles, just unique content. | |
