I had a website made which doesn't include any header tags <h1> (pah ). Is the coding easy to put into the site or will it effect its behaviour if I copy some in? If it's not as easy as me copying and pasting, would anyone like a bit of paid work? |

I think it depends on a website, I mean the code. Usually it's ok just to copy. You can try to copy in the header. If something would change the way you don't want to, just make it as it was before. |

As long as you're looking at the actual code, and not some template, etc., you shouldn't even need to copy/paste. <h1></h1> It's a total of 9 characters, but I guess if you're lazy, just copy/paste the empty tag I wrote here and fill it in. |

If your running wordpress this will put your title in an <h1> tag. Quote:
[Edits at your own risk] You still might need to tweak/add the <h1> CSS code... | |

Ha, ha (CSS)! ![]() Hey I was nice & added a clause below the code in my last comment. ![]() OP, said they was willing to pay someone, I was just trying to give them an idea what might need to be done. We'll never really know without seeing the source code. Quote:

I doubt very much that not having h1 tags is the only factor keeping your site from ranking. It's only one factor in the whole piece.

hey bridgells, If you get seo pressor it will give each one of your pages a rank. Basically you are editing a page or post and it will be on the right side telling you what to add like h1, h2, h3 tags, rel="nofollow" tags, links throughout your site, and all kinds of stuff. It's a good investment. |
