Hi, all I want to develop niche website in which I am expert. So how to decide domain name of this website. As per my knowledge can register two type of domains like 1) Research my niche. Find high searched and low competition keyword and try to get exact keyword containing domain. 2) Just register my name (as a brand name) as a domain, like www.pradeepbhagwat.com As I am thinking if I use first method then I can get quick search engine traffic and may be get sells fast. If I use second method then I may not get search engine ranking and traffic quickly but slowly my name will popular as a brand name. Am I right? Please experienced internet marketers help me. It will beneficial to all. - Pradeep |

Having keywords in the domain name does not necessarily give you quick traffic, even if it would - depending your decision on this would be short-term-thinking. From a practical point of view you can do well with either of them. I would probably chose the niche related domain name, for the simple reason to keep the business separate from my own name. In case you change your plans later you can always move on to other niches, still use the 'old' niche site, and keep a site in your own name that you can update to whatever matters most to you. You can even sell the niche business when it's on a niche related name. Ralf |

I don't see why you just don't spend the extra few dollars and do both. Split test. Whichever is working better after 6 months focus your efforts on. Good luck |
