For anyone who uses sitewide (blogroll) links as one of their main backlinking methods, do you vary your anchor text? For me at the moment, I use the exact anchor text for my homepage, but for my inner pages, not sure whether to stick to exact anchor text or vary it. There seems to be varying opinions for this type of backlinking. Many thanks in advance. |

If your index page was about dogs, & your internal page was about cats. Would you use the word dog as anchor-text on the cat page (I wouldn't)? Use whatever word (anchor-text) your trying to rank the page for. |

| Thanks. So, if I have around 50 or so sites, and around 70 pages of content on each site, and I am targeting around 20 pages for each site, your saying just to use my 'target keyword' (no variation whatsoever) for every page and for every website? Thanks. |
