Buiding a forum site and impact of partial page refreshes on ad revenue

I have simple forums on my site but I'd like for people to be able to post new threads, which they currently can't do. I can make the content nice and seamless by using jquery to do partial page refreshes or I can have it do full page loads whenever they click on a thread or go back, etc.

The problem is while using jquery makes the user experience much better, I don't think Google can follow the threads to grab keyword from the content of posts. I also end up serving far less ads with jquery because the page needs to be completely reloaded to serve a new ad.

Which way would you go?

Forums tend to be lousy ways of using adsense.

Not sure how you can have a forum, but no way for people to
post new threads. A one sided forum?

Don't worry about google trying to grab keywords in a forum.
The ads you get will be very untargeted.

The way you should go is not put ads on the forum, except maybe the
main index page, if that.

The forums I have now are set threads for the games my site supports through calculators. They can post on those threads, but not create new ones. The 'official' forums for the games I have calculators for frequently come up in the search engines for various questions people have posed for the games. I am not worried about what ads google will display, my concern is driving traffic through organic search to my forums. This will obviously lead to more clicks, thus more income.

Although the more user friendly I make the forums, the more people will use them. I really like jquery and the seamless partial page refreshes, but it doesn't work well with Google Adsense since google may not be able to follow all the links or generate a url to a particular thread and the ads won't get refreshed except on a full page refresh which wouldn't happen navigating the threads, only through posting.

So would you go user friendly or ad friendly? One other option I just thought of is to have both. For non-registered users they get the non-jquery version, but registered users can navigate via jquery. Hmmmm....that is actually an awesome idea! Most of my ad clicks are going to be from non-registered, transient users anyway.
