|  Do xml sitemap helps us to gain rankings?
Do you think that xml sitemap helps us to achieve bit of rankings on search engines?.. i made xml sitemap for my site but will u please clarify how effective is it search engines?

No, xml sitemap doesn't help to improve your rankings. What xml sitemap does is it helps Google to discover all your pages. As a result, you get better/deeper crawling and (hopefully) indexation.

XML sitemap doesn't helps you in getting ranking, its just for indexing of your page by search engines.
