What do the WF world use to check their backlinks for their websites. I personally use backlink checker website. I have found they are pretty accurate. Does anyone use a better free or cheap "accurate" backlinks checker? |

MajesticSEO.com is by far the most updated and accurate source with data you won't find anywhere else. Sources like yahoo site explorer sometimes don't update their data often that means if backlinks were made 5 days ago you just might not see them. MajesticSEO can find backlinks made only 24 hours ago. And no, they don't pay me to say that | |

I would go with Yahoo Site Explorer (siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com), it's free and fairly decent.

Unless you need to report backlinks to a client to show your actually doing SEO backlinking they're paying you to do, the time you'd spend checking backlinks could be better spent... building more backlinks! Hope that helps! Best, David |

As yahoo, google doesn't show all backlinks. But if you still want to use google try site:yoursite . Then check how many back links is considered by search engine google for your site.

SEOQuake and Yahoo Site Explorer, just to name a few are good resource to get fairly accurate backlinks counts.Though, none of the software are actually exact science, you can full get your complete backlinks count from any software or website....

Another silly way i use sometimes is, just googling my site name with dotcom and count the number of sites that has my site list on it...Sounds funny but i use this method to check the number of backlinks in google, since google indexes new contents or refreshed site uploads regularly... Try this.... google your site name:: yourdomain.com and count the number of site you find your site link... |

The most easy way to check your backlinks is to type link then : then www then .sitename then .com (without space in google). These are quality baclinks for your site to increase your site performance and PR.

Using backlinkwatch.com is good already so don't worry if you don't get accurate results because I don't think there's one out there. As for me, majesticseo.com is the most accurate as of now. I don't know if there's new so this is what I would recommend.

Backlink checker tools are not all accurate. So don't rely too much to them. But it's not wrong to check the number of your backlinks. I personally use seocenctro.com and submit express.

If you can manage to put google webmaster code in your site then try using Google Webmaster Tool, it will give detailed information of backlinks. If you just wanna check backlinks to your site then try using Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer Thanks |

| Free Backlink Checker A great free tool that you can use to check your backlinks that an seo company may have done for you or you outsourced is called backlink checker its a free backlink checker tool that will allow you to check and verify if your backlinks are found or not found. If you are paying for backlinks to be created for your website wouldn't you want to know if they exist or not? Most people who get backlinks created for them by Seo companies never check or simply spot check the link report that they receive from the seo company. With this free backlink checker software you no longer have to do that. All you simply have to do is upload your urls in a text file, enter your website url in the prompt and hit the play button and the backlink checker tool will begin to instantly verify your backlinks. You can even watch the live stat counter which indicates total backlinks uploaded, backlinks found and backlinks not found. When the backlink checker has completed the task of checking your links, a report is generated in an excel file. In addition, when your url list is uploaded the backlink checker instantly removes the duplicated links. It is that easy! You can get that free backlink checker tool at the following url: |

most tools use yahoo site explorer to check backlinks which in my opinion makes them inaccurate simply because yahoo site explorer itself is not accurate. The most accurate source I have ever found to date is Majestic SEO: Site Explorer if you're using any tools to check backlinks, make sure that those tools are using majesticseo as the source... for example, version 4 of traffic travis now checks backlinks from majesticseo... | Totally agree with you! I am sure that to have more or less adequate picture, one should use more than 1 backlinks checker. As for majesticseo, it has already won its place in the niche of backlinks tools and is now used by many seo specialists and webmasters. I am also a fan of majestic, but I don't like its design, it's too complicated, as for me... Just a couple of days ago I turned to ahrefs.com - main idea is the same, but the design and accuracy of search seem to be much better. I just haven't tested its paid options so far. If you use both of these tools, they are perfect! ))))
