I'm helping a therapist/healer raise money via a mini-site to bring her many skills to an orphanage in Tanzania to help heal traumatized children. I want to attract the attention of potential donors with a soft spot for kids. ![]() The keyword 'themes' I have researched already include: Problems in Africa (famine, poverty etc.) helping/healing kids post traumatic stress disorder & kids Children's charities Each 'theme' has several kw phrases with sufficient search volume. Is it wise to feature more than one keyword theme (single keyword??) on a webpage or not? This is where it gets fuzzy for me. Thanks, Radar |

As many long tails as possible-you should never write a piece of content for YOUR site which is capable of ranking for only 1 keyword or phrase. It is far more effective and efficient to write your content with the capability of ranking for at least 5 keyphrases (and up to 10) than writing for 1 key phrase. Googlebot over time will then make further new long tails from combinations of key phrases it finds in your content. So the more the merrier.. Terry | |

Regarding your comment: "As many long tails as possible-you should never write a piece of content for YOUR site which is capable of ranking for only 1 keyword or phrase. I understand writing for 5-10 kw phrases for ONE theme. However, does it matter if there is a mixture of keyword THEMES represented on ONE webpage? Will it weaken my SEO or strengthen it? Thanks! Rank for as many as possible! Focusing on one is just going to limit yourself!

I personally recommend going with 3 keywords per page.

I think 2 keywords are more than enough for per webpage
