I've heard that it is good, I mean...it is what it is, cheap backlinks.

Linklicious.me - Pings your links until Google crawls 'em. Drips out links at your rate.
OneHourBacklinks.com - FAST link building service. Index, high PR, d0follow options.
Drip Feed Links - Automated Link Building Service - SEO Blasts

There's a message that says they are currently doing maintainence for 5 days, so the service may improve soon.

Maybe that is the reason why support aren't replying.

Do you spin your description text plenty of times and also ping the RSS feed reports? I think this service is only as a compliment to other types of backlinking and isn't for ranking competitive keywords.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you can call a 5 day outage a maintenance event. Is the "Internet Age" maintenance is something that is usually done in minutes, not hours. Being down for a day is a major outage and a 5 days of downtime is a long term outage that could be tantamount to going out of business.

I've been using Social Monkee for several months. I quickly referred people to the site using my affiliate link, so now I have free access to the premium service. I think since it is free it is worth using occasionally, but the bookmarking sites mostly have a PR of 0, so I don't feel it has made much if any difference to my Google ranking.
The site will become more useful when the bookmarking sites start becoming more popular and their PR increases.

I would second that. Social bookmarking links are not of a huge value for SERPS. Maybe you might see some improvement in a weak competition, but not if you go after anything serious. Social bookmarks can possibly be great for indexing.

Now after all Social monkee service providers have disabled the long description section :S --- Currently we are able to submit description with just 400 characters that are very low - They said they will increase it to 800 to 1000 words limit, may it will 800-1000 characters, that is also not good but will be good rather then just 400 characters

its up to your niche and you how you use it.
In past i was able to submit my description with more then 6000 characters , and results were there after just 14 days with best Spun description.
But now they have turned it off and we are just able to play it with 400 characters. Do not know what they are thinking . Meanwhile right now i think, if you keen to see results with social monkee, you can submit the 400 character bookmarks for 3 days drip and with one title, to see a big Slap by google soon to your website. .

Otherwise do a social bookmarks with long description and with best spun text, you can see the best results.

I was wondering why the character limit is only 400 words. That only gives you enough room for about 3 descriptions.

From what i've heard, spinning lots of times isn't necessary to get links indexed.

They said, they will rise it soon to 800-1000 character, and still i think that it will not enough to cover 3 description.

You are right that, spinning is not important to get links indexed.

But as i heard is google loves new content + If you do social bookmarking with more then 1000-1200-1500 characters, it will be good for your each social bookmarks. And if we will use it with best spun text it will effect more as i think, and will increase the number of characters too.

I will use the socialmonkee for some of other websites without spinning the text and will notice the results, but personally i do not think, it can help in ranking, but i think it can cause a penalty or slap.

You have to spin the description at least 3 times minimum don't you?

What sort of penalty do you think it can cause? Social bookmarking is white hat, so I don't think Google would penalize people for it. They don't have a rule that the same text can't appear elsewhere.

Thanks for your suggestion

I used to spin the description about 7 to 10 times.

Basically i use different variation of description with more then 1000 words, like

{You can now get the free bookmarking service at our side right now with best price also....|with cheap amount you can get the great bookmarking service today on our website....|3|4....}

So it makes the description too too long...

Any advice ?

What sort of penalty do you think it can cause?

Duplicate content - If we are getting 150 bookmarks almost duplicate or with in 400 character limits spin text, what ever in 30 days, i think it will disturb the ranking, and will not show the good results as it showed good results with long description.

They don't have a rule that the same text can't appear elsewhere.

Well this is new for me, so i will use it with social monkee, but not for my main sites, will try first on another websites. But still confuse 400 character limits spinable description will not hurt the site ranking!!! and will show the results as like past.

Untill they increase the 400 word count limit, you'll have to stick to using only 3 descriptions I think. No other way.

According to this article, it sounds like duplicate content gets indexed, but just doesn't rank well. So in the case of Social Monkee the aim is to get the links indexed, not to get the social bookmark pages ranking high in the SERPs, so duplicate content shouldn't be an issue.

OK, I need to say this because it's SO important. If you look at your site, analyze your niche and put your thinking cap on, you can manually create backlinks that will get your site on Google's first page fairly easily. Looking for the shortcut only hampers your efforts in the long run. I only mean this if you are not trying to rank for keywords like "money" and "mortgage".

I was having some bad issues with Social Monkee at first but they are all cleared up. I could not even login or submit a support ticket. Finally I was able to get word to Colin (site owner) via youtube. Colin was very helpful and he promptly got me set up and I have been using it for a week or so. I able looking forward to seeing how it helps me.

Nice service you get free social backlinks for free, of course paid version is better but if you don't have money for this you can use great free version of this service too.

Been using it for over 3 months now, many of the links do stick if you do the whole RSS ping/submit often. For the 'important' pages that I run SM to, I backlink (with SM) the social bookmark links generated as well, then do the same RSS/submit thing again and they do stick. Whether or not they have value is not as relevant I guess since they're low volume (150, I guess about 20% sticks).

For the price, it's cheaper than paying for fiverr gigs constantly, but it is a chore.

I use SM and have been for a while now.

My only complaint has to be about the submitting feature, sometimes when you submit for the 25 backlinks it will submit the articles with the spin syntax (so the article isn't actually spun) happened to me twice now, could be detrimental to your blog.

Only use it on my web2.0 profiles / properties these days.

When the site is under maintenance it's generally because we're moving sites to more powerful, dedicated servers (fresh IPs, more uptime...). That's why it sometimes takes a few days, and we sometimes extend the maintenance mode by a few hours because there is a queue of submissions to be processed. However this is 'just' a matter of time, as all submissions are eventually processed.

We increased it to 1,200, which should be enough for most people. There is a character limit because looong descriptions tend to go wrong, and in that case it's quite difficult for the sites to 'handle' the bookmarks.

Also we recommend that you spin words instead of full descriptions. This way you can have highly spun descriptions, and be within the 1,200 characters limit. Imagine a 6,000 characters long description, like mentioned above, going wrong... The system won't really like it.

Did someone get back to you? I personally respond to all unanswered tickets (generally within 24 hours) so if you did not receive a reply from us, it's probably because the ticket got lost in the system, or because you received the response in your spam box. Feel free to resubmit a ticket, or PM me.

The help desk is open from Monday to Saturday.

Hi Jeff,

We're sorry you feel this way! The submission form was taken down for a few days, but everything is back on track now. Also remember that all memberships are lifetime memberships.

Hmm that sounds cool. Does it actually work, though?

Yes it does, I use it on money sites and also to my backlinks... I have lots of number 1 rankings... it is important to note that it should make up a part of your SEO strategy. on long tail keywords, it alone could potentially be enough for a nice boost, but it is a really good indexing tool too

I just found out about social money a few days ago and I use the free service. You have to put in a different url every time you post if you use a free account. That would be my only con. If you put in the same url, if will not post. It is a great service, though.

Yes that is true - Plus also don't think you run out of urls to submit. Every new post you make you can submit it, as you know... BUT, don't forget, every tier 1 backlink you make (say you link to your post from wordpress.com or webs.com or 110mb.com etc.) - then you take that link
and add it in too This will give your tier 1 links more indexing, more authority and make the link to your site more powerful

each site is on a unique c class ip address... This means that there is no footprint. There also arent only 100 sites in the network, but rather many hundred

I always read this thread title from week to week thinking it's a joke, but...apparently it's not.

Find out how I went from $0 to $1000/mo in 120 days at Chasing Pace.

Check out these awesome case studies I'm currently working on.

Social Monkee is a social bookmarking platform and is quite good for posting social bookmarks. As far as I know, they use their own sites to submit your links to, so they are different than most other social bookmarking sites.

There is a free and paid version. If you do not have a lot of money, the free version is fine, but the paid is certainly a good purchase if you want to take it seriously.

I use social monkee and it works pretty well. I only use the free service so I cannot speak on the the premium service. It makes you put in some spun text, titles and keywords and then it pings the sites. They also give you a txt file so you can check the links. All in all its a good free service but is best used on niche sites in my opinion.

Alright, I'll do my best to put all of this to rest. I have a top level membership at Social Monkee. First I joined for free and could submit one site to 25 of their social bookmark sites each day. I thought it was very useful, so I upgraded to the Premium membership level (through referrals, get 12 referrals and you don't have to pay the $47).

With the Premium level, you can submit three different URLs to 100 sites per day and you can stretch them to drip out over 7 days. When you upgrade, THAT is when you can actually see the RSS feed reports. It says all over that you can only see the reports when you have an upgraded account.

I saw how much this was automating my backlinking, so I upgraded once more to their Eilite Membership for a one-time $57 fee. Yes, I know that they are relatively low quality links in the grand scheme of things, but they are created on autopilot! They are definitely worth something and any part of my business that I can automate is great.

With the Elite Membership you can submit three different URLs to up to 150 sites each day. You can choose to submit to 25, 50, 75, 100 or 125 sites if you would rather. On top of that, you can schedule up to 45 submissions in advance. Plus, you can re-submit the same URL once every 6 weeks. With all other membership levels, you can only submit a URL once for life. Elite members can also stretch their link drip out to one month, so you can just drip a few links each day.

As far as the impact on my sites?? It's tough to say because I spend a great part of everyday working on my SEO. But, I can tell you that it is a tool that I use almost everyday and my sites are doing very well.

However, anyone that is saying that Socialmonkee links had a negative effect on their site is simply misinformed. I have used these links on nearly brand new sites without penalty.

I love Social Monkee! It's quickly becoming my favorite SEO tool. No, not necessarily because of it's effectiveness, but mostly because of it's ease of use. It seriously puts my link-building on auto-pilot and I was happy to pay the upgrade fee.

Me too.
After some trial and error I use it now to purely backlink my backlinks.
I have pages on wordpress, multiply, webs, weebly, tumblr, youtube etc and I backlink those till the cows come home. I have had great results in not only ranking my new sites and avoiding the sandbox but the web 2.0's rank okay too.

I use it every day in my plan

?

These guys are GREAT! They have a huge tanker just off the coast of the US and they have a TON of people just click-click-clicking away on my AdSense sites...making me a ton of money.
