I'm trying to find a firefox plugin or a toolbar for IE 8 that will show me how well the top ten competing websites in google have optimized there website for my target keyword & how hard that keyword would be to rank for it in google which one is best.

I also use SEO quake, however it doesn't tell you if your keyword is in title, etc. For that, if you are using a wordpress website I use seo pressor (it is paid, however). I assume however that you are investigating your competition - in that case you could also verify manually by looking into the source code of the pages.

I'm novice in seo, and I'm really satisfied using Seoquake. Simple and multipurpose tool.

is it just me or does seoquake not work with firefox 4.0.1...? when i download it and activate the plugin all i see is the seoquake logo tiny image in the upper left corner of my screen ..below the backbutton...there is a drop down arrow and a question mark next to that arrow... no matter what i click on..the logo..the drop down arrow..or the question mark... ....nothing happens. I've used seoquake in the past before I updated FF and had no issues... |

Browser plug ins are going to be limited in what they can do. If I were you, I would invest in proper tools like WebSite Auditor and SEO Spyglass from Link-Assistant. Expensive, but worth every cent...
