Hi folks, Ive got a bunch of articles i had written for submission to article sites, as a way of building backlinks for a new website. Initially i planned on submitting them all across about 10 authority article websites, however I recently had a thought based on the 'pyramid' style linking. Im now thinking of submitting only a small handful with links directly back to my site. The others would be submitted with a link back to one of the other articles in the small group. The idea being, as directory sites get spidered all the time, i can build a strong link profile to the small group, which in turn would link to my main site. Would this pass more link juice than all of them simply linking directly back to the main site? Your opinions would be good. Cheers Gary |

Don't link to your articles. That's a waste of linking time. Why give backlinks to the article directory? Let them do their jobs. Build links to your sites only. Most are like EZA. The article is not on a static webpage. It's on a page created on the fly that's different each time it loads. There are also boatloads of links on it. You would be in fact linking to a page that has the potential of the visitor clicking out to some other article/site. You want the article for backlinks, and it's a low level backlink to begin with. It's not going to get any more juice by building links to it. The juice is so watered down to begin with. Build links to your websites/pages only. Paul |

I wouldnt worry about linking to your backlinks, except to get them indexed. There are a few services out there which do that for a monthly fee, otherwise set up a BackLink Energizer cluster, and use that to index/boost your backlinks. You really want as many links to your primary sites, and spending too much time linking to your link to going to dilute your effort
