I'm currently messing around with a blog trying to improve it's CTR. I have around 150-200 unique visitors every day, however, I'm only getting 2-5 clicks a day. That's not very much and I'm not always above a single dollar in earnings. Should I focus on getting more traffic, or is a CTR beneath 1 % worth working on? What's a "normal" CTR? best regards |

5% is good for ctr. Increase your ctr with ad placement, size, type and colour. If you have wordpress blog use why do work adsense plugin. It works for me. I wonder why can't you earn with 100+ visitors. normally I earn more than $1+ per day with 10 visitors. Another reason is your cpc is too low for your niche.

Depending on the style of your site. If you are using websites like I sell in my WSO, then you should expect over 5% CTR, but if this a forum or something, you will be under 1% CTR.

There really is no "average" I have some sites that run around 1% and some that run 15-20% it really depends on the niche and types of visitors you are drawing. The first thing I would so is tweak your ad placement a bit and see if you raise your ctr that way. Also try changing the colors of your ads etc as well. Sometimes you get better results by blending in and sometimes by standing out. Make one change at a time and do some testing. |

Doesn't matter what the normal CTR is. You can have 50%+ and stay legit as long as you're not forcing people to click it or fool them.

Probably about 1% is normal for Adsense.

Depends really. I've had a 25% CTR(bad ad placement) and even had sites with less than 0,50% CTR(with good ad placement). But the average with good and proper placement is 3%-5%. I would rather have 10k visitors daily and 0,50% CTR than 25% CTR with 10 visits a day. If I was you I would keep building content and backlinks, so you can get more visitors and eventually earn a lot more per day. |

Try changing your ads size and placement and test their performance to find out which works and which doesn't

Google does not care whether you get 0% or 100%. All they care about is that is was from a real-sales-oriented-visitor. Normal for you is not normal for me. There is no normal normal. There's no CTR to be expected either. Crazy trying to come up with a number. Paul |

I find CTR is always very hard to estimate before you actually launch a site. What I always do is to simply get started somehow, doing what according to my previous experiences works best. Then I start tweaking.
