Default Squeezing the maximum out of AdSense!

Hi all,

I have ran AdSense for 2 months now and I just realized that how easy it is to increase revenue. I call it "squeezing". Here is how I do it:

[If you want to see the examples on my site, visit it! It's here: http://www.akosblog.com ]

1. I put my ads above the primary content

These are the most profitable places on a site/blog.

2. I display ONLY text ads
Loads of people have flash blocking add-ons which don't allow multimedia/image ads to appear. So if you want to maximize your earnings, use text ads.

Thanks for your time. Hope this helped.

Best Regards,
Akos

Totally agree with the best ad placement, but some of our best CTR's and CPC's are from image and multimedia ads...I wish we had MORE of them, actually.

We have over 300 sites now and have tested them a bit and it comes out the same, heh.

300 sites? That's great! You probably earn loads of money from them.

Not yet...they're all pretty new! They're starting to get some traction though...I'd expect 3k/month or slightly higher if we stopped creating them right now.

Yeah, I've also found that matching the font type and size of your content with the adsense block also helps. For example, make your Adsense block Arial and Large and then make your content Arial and 15px. The block then looks like it's part of your website and not an ad.

That's exactly one way to do it. Picture looks
surprisingly like the one google shows as a recommended
layout.

You seem to be following the rules, like having some content
available above the fold.

I myself can only ad that the black text and red border may not
be conducive to clicks. But, you claim it is, so go for it. I would
make it "open air." If the testing proved otherwise, keep the
colors, as always.

I see you are using the 468 banner as well. I am experimenting with
this as well. I do not like the newer 728 format. It used to be like
the 468 and I was very successful with that.

Thanks for the reply Paul! I had most success with the 468 banner.
