So I've been reading up on a couple of SEO strategies that involve the likes of Blog Blueprint and Build My Rank. Basically, from what I understand, you write short blog posts with your backlink in it and submit it to them, and they will distribute it to their private network of blogs. Is there a benefit to this as opposed to going around and (dofollow) blog commenting and putting in your forum sigs? Most forum sigs are dofollow and I can find a list of dofollow blogs by Googling. Seems like thinking of a noteworthy and relevant blog comment on a dofollow blog takes a lot less time than writing a 150 word blog post to distribute. So in the end, is there a benefit to paying for these services as opposed to going around the web and blog commenting and finding forums to put your sig in?

for example if there are 50 comments already there and you add your comment, the link juice is divided by 50....while the blog post you get all the linkjuice for yourself. I may be wrong but this is how I look at it.

Blog commenting always worthy to have. But finding less OBL blogs is the biggest problem.even you place that comment in low OBL.With in certain months it will be flooded with spams. But try to get some what better comment where viagra keywords are not there.

short answer is "do it all"... don't limit yourself to just 1 or 2 sources of obtaining backlinks. Google's algo changes and while they may favor one link over the other today, that could be the exact opposite a year, a month, a day or even an hour from right now...Google changes their algo every day. If money is an issue then put in the hard work and time it takes to see success with the free methods and once you are making bank invest in the paid ones. |

Things started changing for me online when I realized I had to spend money to make money. I'm not talking a fortune, but just using services such as BMR. I mean, how many businesses can you run for $60 a month? That's more or less what I spend on my SEO efforts each month. | |

You want more link diversity than just blog commenting. Plus, the link in BMR is more powerful because you are not splitting the "link juice" with other commenters. I definitely am a huge fan of BMR and if you are looking for cheap BMR posts so that you don't have to waste your time writing them, check out the link in my signature. I'll personally take care of you and help you in your BMR link building efforts!

See, result of every strategy may vary... Its good to try with different strategies to see which one works best for you. If I have to adopt one, out of the two I would go for blog commenting. Commenting on popular celebrity blogs gives you credibility among other bloggers and target audience as well. As far as finding dofollow blogs is concerned, I use 'Keyword Country' to find celebrity blogs of my niche that accepts blog commenting for backlinking. |

Blog blueprint is CRAP! I used it a year ago, and even bookmarked some posts. A few months later I checked the posts, but most of the network sites dissapeared! |
