Just curious. One of my websites is currently being "sandboxed." No duplicate content but maybe too many links too fast. I accept that it is sandboxed. So I am doing as you should...writing good content and linking. But NONE of the new content gets indexed by Google. Is that normal when you are sandboxed? And it has now been sandboxed for 6 months. Boy, that's a long time. The site is Major Medical Health Insurance Rates | Major Medical Health Insurance. Thanks for any input. |

That does sound like a long time. google should be indexing your new content way before that. It sounds link you have been de-indexed. is there anything else you have done on top of too many links? Is the old content still indexed? You could try submitting a uptodate sitemap in WMT |

Old content is still indexed and site seems to be indexed as well. And for some terms, it still shows up in Google search engine. But not like before. Yes...six months is ridiculous. I changed servers before it happened and I don't know if that had any effect. What is sitemap in WMT? Thanks. |

You may be trapped in the sandbox indefinitely if the inbound links to your site remain. Because each time your site is evaluated by the Google algorithm concerning inbound links you would still be breaking the threshold that got you sandbox... and so you stay sandbox. But one question I think you need to check out is are you really sandboxed. you may be perceiving the sandbox on some of your key terms while being fine on others I do not have enough information to draw a conclusion about your website but you may want to consider that as well | |

oh yeah I completely forgot to mention that you may need to check out your site content and architecture to make sure there are no negative factors on it. If you do a little house cleaning you may discover something nasty that will hold you down indefinitely so check that out.

I've been working on a FAQ here at WF on deindexing and penalties, take a look here: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...deindexed.html My personal opinion is that you aren't sandboxed, especially since the head of the Google web spam team has stated publicly that there is no such thing as a sandbox. Looking at your site, your home page ranks fine for a couple of keywords, as does your quotes form page Google appears to "turn up" the spam detection algorithm for certain niches and you are hitting two of the most abused, health and insurance. My opinion on why your articles aren't being indexed because you are being penalized for keyword stuffing your tags and what little link juice you retain after the penalties is being wasted pointing to hundreds of individual tag pages that you have as indexed pages. |

Thanks for the information. I think I know how to change the main title tag but what are the other tags you are referring to? Thanks. I truly appreciate your help. This is the only site of mine that has a problem. |

OK. I thought (obviously I did not know) that you are supposed to put about 10-15 tags that contain key words that pertain to the article. And of course, since there are variations of phrases, you tend to duplicate a lot of words.

| Semantically correct, my apologies. Matt Cutts STRONGLY implied that there wasn't a sandbox, but instead a "sandbox like effect" in the algorithm. The exact quote from Pubcon 2005: "Q: Does the sandbox exist? A: Matt said here comes the audience part? How many feel there is a sandbox? How many feel there is no such thing as a sandbox? SEOs normally split down the line. There are some things in the algorithm that may be perceived as a sandbox that doesn't apply to all industries. He knows it works to keep some spam out." |

You need to send re-consideration request to Google. Only when your website come out from sandbox, only then your website will be indexed by indexed. Before sending reconsideration request make sure that you remove all spamming links coming to your website.

| What if these links are not created by the site owner in the first place? For e.g. a competitor spamming your site.
