anchor text and ranking for the same keyword

Ok, so my question is say you have a website cars.host.c.o.m
and you want to rank for the word vechile. You would put the word vechile in anchor text on your blog. Say you also had another article on a different site. Could I anchor text the same keyword vehicle for the article website within the blog? If I rank for the same keyword. Would they both go up at the same time and which ever one has less back links or less good back links be right behind? Let me now. Also how many times should i mention the keyword anchor texted. i was reading your suppose to put it at the beginning and end.

From what I understand you should use it in the first and last paragraph and someplace in the middle of the article. Not totally sure though if this is totally accurate but it's what I've been doing.

Same here.. I would recommend also putting the "vehicle" on the Title and tags as well, plus also at the resource box, should there be any resource/author box. Never miss out including the category of your post- it must be related of course.

I assume once should be appropriate unless the url for the anchors are different.

thanks guys you are a huge help. promet I will do that from now on. Still not sure if I can rank for the same keyphase with different urls. Say for example I want to rank for vechile and have to two anchor texts but each have a differnet url that possible?
