Does it do any better to have a long list of ping sites in your blog or do you get as much out of just the default that comes with WordPress. I don't really understand the pinging altogether. If it is to notify Google etc. of your new content, why would you want to bombard them with the notice. But I have been given a long list of ping sites and told to use it. I am a bit confused. Looking for advice please. |

Be careful about pinging with too many sites, Google hates that. Best to pick one or two top pinging sites, trust me, Google will find you if you use the top 2 pinging sites. When it comes to pinging sites it's quality not just quantity.

I always ping my quality back links and let the others get found naturally. Only ping what matters and only ping it 1-3 times.
