Where did the link juice go if im writing my real name with website, instead of keyword in the name field? Example 1: Name field: cheap hosting Site: www.example.com In this case i will rank better in terms of cheap hosting keyword. Example 2: Name field: John site: www.example.com What about this one? |

If you are targeting cheap hosting as your keyword then you definitely want to have that in your anchor text. Problem is that when you put 'cheap hosting' as your name in the comment form, it will automatically raise the red flag. It is too obvious that you are trying to spam the blog. Try to do it subtly. Why not put your website name in the name field. Just my 2 cents. |

It is good to have link diversity, so in my opinion, if you have a lot of 2.0's, blogs and articles already jamming your site with the anchor key words, it probably seems more natural to see some non exact match anchor texts out there.

Ok, but talking about acceptance, the best way is not to use any keywords at all and use a real name. So im wondering, where do the juice goes if im using names, not keywords.

for link variety you should have different anchor text ie cheap website hosting information/review/recommendations etc. it would be unnatural for all links to point to the site using the same anchor text. As far as commenting goes most bloggers that manually approve their comments won't want anything spammy like your anchor text in the title. What would be more useful is to add a comment to a relevant blog pointing back to some insightful post you made on the niche topic.

Normally it is advisable to use keywords as it really helps to get the juice. But as everybody says, you can also put your name if you have more. First try to do with your keywords. Then after getting more you can do some with your name.
