Getting Links Back From The Google Official Blog

I wrote an article about Google Places which eventually took me to the Google official blog about Google Places. I then saw at the bottom a list of links to other blog posts about Google Places. It says "Links To This Post." Best I could figure out is that if you write a post on your own blog and link back to the official Google Blog post then they will link back to you. I have done this on a couple of posts but still no link back from Google. I was wondering if anybody has had experience with this and if there are other criteria involved other than linking to the Google blog post that are required to get that link back. Here is the Google Official Blog Post I am talking about.
