I've been asked to get a site up and running with a good keyword in the domain name. The site owner bought it recently and it's been parked for I don't know how long. The thing is, it still comes up as a PageRank 4 with more than 20k domain backlinks and a domain age of 12 years. Is it possible to move quickly in putting up the new site, get redirects in place, add new content (change from forum to content marketing and from HTML to WordPress) and still keep all that Google juice flowing? Or is all that built-up credit going to disappear when the Googld bots discover that it's a different thing? Thanks. Jan Bear |
