Default One Article Per Keyword... Or Many Keywords Per Article?

Hey guys, I'm just curious about which strategy you believe to be more effective and why? Do you think it's more powerful to cast an incredibly wide net by creating hundreds of pages on our sites, each focused on a specific keyterm... or fewer pages with a greater quantity of target keywords on each page? Gracias.

I would go for fewer pages with quality content and good keywords density.

1-5%. I think less is more. Once per 100 words. Usually I just write without worrying about it as I believe it is more important to focus on engaging the reader with good content.

5-10 keywords in a 500-word article...and some diversity might be good. I would include a few keywords in one article. Why make numerous articles each focusing on one keyword when you can write less, but make quality posts with more keywords? Warriors, correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the reply. The main reasons I can think why someone might want to do this are:

A) Potential to get more than one article ranked on page 1 for the same kw.

B) One article with many keywords may not rank for all the keywords you had intended, while if there are numerous articles, each with a very strong focus on a single keyword, you may end up getting more of your desired keywords represented in the SERPs.

But perhaps one article with a greater number of intentional keyword inclusions would perform very well if these keywords are all included as inbound anchor text links.

And you're right, it would be far less work. Never a bad thing.

I choose 1 primary keyword phrase and about 9 secondary keyword phrases and put them on a 1000+ word article.

All the keyword phrases are related to each other and all have reasonable search counts.

This method is very effective from an SEO perspective as the ONE article can potentially rank for all my keywords.

When I do backlinking I get to vary my anchor texts - this helps a lot as it makes my linking appear natural.

It takes a top article writer to blend all the keyword phrases into an article - because the article must read well. Luckily for me I have a great writer who has the skill to include multiple keywords in an article - and does it very effectively.

How would you organize the placing your keywords if optimizing a page for 3 k.w.s? H1, h2, and h3 tags? All three keywords in context at least once? Anybody have some good tips?

1 to 2% keyword density. It all depends on what your competitors are doing. What i mean by competitors are the first 10 results. Anyways, you will have to see the number of words that is dealing with the subject too. Imagine that the 10 first results in google wrote about the subject 1000 words and you are willing to write 100 words. Then you will absolutly not be in the first page of google.

Regards
