Hi, Suppose I have a web page with content of length 500 words. How much keyword density should I use for this page. |

There has been ongoing arguments on this for years now. Personally I find that 1-2% does the trick for me. Now, with that being said I make it a point to work LSI keywords into that article/content as well so there is no doubt Google knows what my content is about. Cheers, James |

It's one of those things that no one really knows! Too many variables. It more depends on the quality of your content and how many backlings, quality of backlinks etc...

There really is no "magic answer", because some keywords are easier to integrate naturally into your content than others. Depending on your keyword, you may only be able to get a 1% KW density out of it, while a different keyword might lend itself nicely to 2%. Just remember, it's more important to make your content flow naturally than it is to force in keywords. If readers feel like you're just shoving in keywords, they're going to leave. |

3% should be fine, but it may be a bit high if you have to force the keyword in there too much. I like 1-2% usually.

This is actually a great question - to find the answer, you should do a density analysis for the top 10 sites on the keyword you are trying to rank for. This will give you an idea of what density you should be aiming for, as Google sees these 10 sites as the most relevant for that keyword - match your content up to them. People tend to over-think this, but the correct density could actually vary for any given keyword. |

No one really knows and we all have our own numbers! Personally I played around with it till I figured out the magic density for my niche. 3% and under happens to be pretty good for me. but try out a few tests and see where the magic happens for you.

There is a function in SEOQuake named keywords density. It's free so I recommend you to install it, and check your density.

The keywords must be 2 to 3 in every page. the one link points in your hoome page while the other links connects with your blogs.

Between 1.5-2% is the magic number for me. Don't go above 3%.

"Keyword density" is largely irrelevant nowadays, as the search engines correctly concluded a long time ago that it's easy to fake.

I have a keyword sitting first position on Google with a keyword density of 1.090%. The keyword is in the URL, page title, H1/H2/H3 tags, meta keywords and meta description, I do not know which of these are the one that help to drive my page to first position, but I have good ranking for all sites or pages done in this way. I also do internal linking of all pages on my sites with the keywords as anchor text, so that link juice is passed on. Hope that helps. |
