I have a video squeeze page/domain which I use for one particular niche whose sole purpose is collecting email addys. It doesn't have much other content on it besides the usual fluff. I have ANOTHER domain in the same niche which I'm actually building into an authority site. Plenty of content on it, pages, all of that. I use this site to sign up people to my list, as well, it just doesn't convert as well because of all of the content on my site and it's not JUSt for getting addresses and I don't use the video on it. I wanted to use the video from my squeeze page either way, my question is would I get a much better Adwords score/lower CPC if I put this video on a page on my authority site and direct Adwords traffic to that as opposed to the purely squeeze page? |

I think the answer has to be an overwhelming - 'YES'!

Google wants the user to get the information they are searching for without having to leave the email address to get it. If you are going to use the video squeeze page, you need to make sure the information given matches what the user was promised. You also need enough match text on the page to satisfy the quality bots. You can uses your signup to get more detailed information. |

I'll make sure that my page text matches my ads completely. Maybe I should create multiple landing pages which each have my same video on it and which mention each keyword I'm targeting, then I'll just put them on pages of my site which you can only get to through the Adwords ad (or if you type in the URL exactly). That way each ad will be pointing to a page which is optimized for that ad. Would this be ideal or would Google find this and have an issue with it? But to answer my initial question, (I know Tony agreed with it), but would you agree that assuming I make the landing page itself exactly the same on both domains, the somewhat authoritative domain with OTHER content on it would produce lower CPCs/ a higher Ad score than the straight up Squeeze Page?

Your page has to be more than an email collecting page. You need to tell visitors exactly what they're getting. Video is OK but supplement it with text. That will help the quality bot for one thing - it can only read text - and the page won't look as if all you're doing is collecting emails.

you should get a much better Adwords score/lower CPC,and you need to choose keywords for your optimization, so make they closer with the content you publish

Alright, I've put my video on a page on my more authoritative site as per all of your suggestions. I wanted to get clarification one last time on my idea to create multiple pages on my site which are each optimized for one specific keyword each. The copy otherwise will be largely identical on all of these pages, but the keyword which I target for each page will differ. Then when I use each specific keyword in Adwords, I can link to the corresponding page. Is this a half decent strategy or does Google have a problem with this? I likely won't be making visible links for people to click to to these pages, but the pages will of course link to every other page on my site just like every page does. Are there any issues with this? |

You can send them to a sales page with msn and yahoo and others. With adwords instead of sending them straight to a squeeze page you would send them to a landing page with good content and within that you can say "check out my review on such..." and send them to a review page within your site.

Like the above post, I hate squeeze pages. I don't fill them out. That's not why I came to your site to do. It doesn't matter what we think anyway, even if it is the ultimate form of selling. It's what Google thinks. They hate squeeze pages too. Why? Because people have told them they hate them. They did the research spending millions to improve their search engine. Call me crazy but, if people are telling Google they don't like something, I won't do it and I didn't have to spend millions myself to find out.
