Default 301 redirect of not related old domain to new

hi,

I am considering to buy old age domain and buy new one with exact keyword match

if to make 301 redirect of old domain with not related content to content of new domain

a) can it hurt new domain
b) will it pass link juice of old domain to new one

?

Hi Derekad,
IMHO
a) it shouldn't hurt new domain
b) it will pass link juice over time but if the content is different you will not benefeit from it much (as opposite to case of similar content which can help you very much in building your SERP)

Best regards
George

What should warriorforum do? Buy internetmarketingforum.com, then not
redirect because of a not related domain?

What silliness about related domains. What the frick is amazon.com about?
Books?

If people stopped the insanity, did what it takes, well, I guess the WF would
be quiet.

Strange what people spend their time worrying about.

Paul

I agree with you Paul,
there could be more robust strategy in building a business than redirecting domains. But LOL, what a nice note about quiet WF
