No difference for SEO.

But you've posted this in the wrong forum, it should be in the SEO section.

In terms of SEO if it is truly a "very targeted" keyword then you might be OK. But I always recommend going with a .com, .net or .org when possible. I have seen a lot more success with these domain extensions. Either way, I wish you good luck with your endeavor.

You're probably seeing a lot more success with those extensions because there are millions more of them out there, and they have been around a lot longer.

SEO-wise, it makes no difference if you've done everything else properly.

As always, I'll repeat that a TLD is a great thing to have, but it's not a necessity. Having one is +1 in your favor out of a huge list of things you can do SEO-wise.

It doesn't in principle: it's all the same for SEO purposes.

There's absolutely no reason you shouldn't do it profitably.

The possible downsides are:-

(i) ".biz" is a little harder for many people to remember, and you can possibly lose people trying to re-find your site by remembering (not much of a problem, especially when their browser's likely to remember even if they don't);

(ii) ".biz" isn't so good from the perspective of resale value (might not matter to you?);

(iii) Someone else owns the .com (personally, I find this a little off-putting, but I wouldn't let it stop me if I really wanted the domain).

BIZ lacks trust with many users in my opinion. Given the option to go to a COM NET or ORG i'd visit one of those before the BIZ.

BIZ is not worth as much either imho.

I think that this would hold true except in certain rare exceptions.

ask yourself

If your title and description tag are attractive to the person searching, they prob won't even notice the .biz extension.

Thus, yes, if optimized well, a .biz is fine, as is any other domain extension, as the others have stated.

I only bother with .com's if I'm building a brand or if I'm planning to build a site that I plan to have repeat visitors as it's "Hard-wired" for people to put .com next to the domain name.

But if I'm just building Adsense sites or sites where the visitor is only likely to visit once, then a .biz will do just fine

James
