Default Spinning an submitting site content?

Hi guys, I've been thinking about something as I work on my latest mini-site. The site is related to a product name and will have about 8 articles total using long-tail variations of the product keyword (e.g. productname review, productname reviews, productname where to buy, etc).

I have two main long-articles that will go on the site. The remaining articles are mainly to thicken the site up a bit. My question - for the remaining long-tail articles, is there a problem with spinning them to 60% and using them for off-page seo? Or would this result in some penalties from google for duplicate content? I would normally use 100% original articles for my off-page, but I'm trying to cut costs as I have other projects in the hopper.

Feel free to chime in your two bits.

Thanks,
S

Spinning is a waste of time!!!!

However, if you are absolutely stuck on the idea, 80%.

I am not an expert but I have seen some of the best people say again and again that there is no duplicate content. All you need to do is get it indexed first

Spinning is ok for off-site content, just make sure it's readable before putting it anywhere (it's your reputation in the end). ALWAYS use your best quality content on your site.

I've been rewriting my main articles using Easy Article Rewriter. This software is amazing and helps me keep focused on my main keyword as well as related LSI keywords. It tells me how I'm doing in real-time as I type. I think this and Market Samurai are my best pieces of software for finding quality keywords and putting up really good content.
