Hi, I have seen many of members keep posing in many forums to increase the post count hoping that each post will be indexed and Google will consider it as a back link. But I have notice that Google do not index all link and people keep spamming the forum without contributing to the discussion. So, Is this the best way to post in forums 1- Post/reply only if you can contribute. 2- Write your post in 3-4 sentence at-least. 3- Bookmarks your this post to get it indexed. It will be much better way to gain link benefit rather than posting hundreds of useless post like- "it was very nice information".. Are you agree? |

I am not totally agreed I fear. Because if you write "it was very nice information"..type post then you will be marked spammer in the eye of forum administration but not in the eye of google I hope. But your suggestion is great and very much advisable. Because most of us contribute in different forums to promote something or get some backlinks. But for this you also should have give something. And that is the quality posts. You should be specific and informative. Contribute in those posts which you know the best. It is not advisable to spam everywhere.

After conducting backlink research on my site, I found that forum signatures on Warrior forum are not indexed. This was using MS PR and Anchor text Analysis. I guess the signatures are more for promotion unless anyone can prove otherwise with hard facts and not just becuase "I said so".

I don't think there is any specific strategy to it. I just like to give some really good advice wherever I can on the forum and let others know what I am doing that is either working or not working. To be honest, I sometimes even forget I have a signature when I am typing up the post. Just provide some great content, and people will be curious to see what your signature is all about. |

I do not have my signature set up here on WF.. YET!! I am not posting just for the sake of posting either. I am here for both the help and to be helpful as well as for the community and networking aspect of the forum. There are many ways people may look at a forum and spamming is only one of them. Others for company, others for networking - there are even ones who make a full time living from their activities within given forums. |
